Stampin' Up! Wedding Card with Beautiful Brushstrokes and Ornate Layers Dies

Our thirty sixth colour we are focusing on for the colour collections blog hop is "poppy parade" from the brights collection. I have chosen poppy parade, petal pink and shaded spruce from the colour coach to work with today for my creation. 

I have used the delicate "beautiful brushstrokes dies" to create blooms for my card. I hadn't decided on the direction of my card other than I wanted to make flowers with my trio of colours. During my creation I figured it would be a beautiful wedding card for a wedding we are attending (hopefully) in less than two weeks. (I do say hopefully as in Victoria we are today finishing up the end of a 5 day lockdown and who knows what changes will happen with COVID!)

I have used poppy parade and petal pink in my blooms and have also added flirty flamingo as a transition colour and I used granny apple green and shaded spruce for the leaves. I also heat embossed leaves from forever fern in white stampin' emboss powder on vellum cardstock. I die cut a frame from ornate layers dies and stamped my sentiment onto a stitched rectangle die shape. My sentiment is also from forever fern stamp set. I randomly placed champagne rhinestone jewels on the basic white cardstock (except for some which are hiding an ink smudge but shhhhh don't tell!)

Custom Order Engagement Card

With Valentine's Day here tomorrow, it reminded me I hadn't posted this custom order heart shaped engagement card. I was provided with the message for inside and other than a pink heart shaped card, it was up to me for the rest of the design.

Personalised Wedding Card

Today's card uses a mix of Stampin' Up! products with my Silhouette Cameo machine to create a personalised wedding card. 
I cut a fine detailed design on my Silhouette for the black background floral panel and used Stampin' Up! products for the rest of the card.

The black vinyl cut out very cleanly, and looks stunning with the black/white/gold combination don't you think?

Stampin' Up! Wedding Card featuring Come Sail Away DSP

My daughter has a wedding to go to recently and I volunteered to make her a card. Knowing the bride was wearing a pink dress I tried to work that into the card along with a few other details. Here's what I came up with:


I thought the pink dress looked a bit plain on it's own so I added textured with the country floral 3D embossing folder and petal pink inkpad and sponge dauber. I also loved using a sheet of designer series paper from what your would call a traditional masculine pack of designer series paper (come sail away) but it is a more subtle pattern and almost looks like wallpaper in the background. Stampin' Up! Non Traditional Wedding Card

Recently my step sister, Faye got married and knowing she was having her trademark funky hair colour for the wedding I made her a less than traditional wedding card. Faye and her husband Chris are both really into tattoos and I tried my best to make a card that was "them". I found a design that spoke to me and I CASED it to the best of my ability.

Stampin' Up! Die Cut Engagement Card

My cousin recently got engaged and what kind of card maker would I be if I didn't send her a card?

This card, unusually features no stamping but a lot of die cutting! I've used eclectic layers, sunshine wishes and swirly scribbles thinlits dies to create the card but boy it is an elegant card I think. Obviously, it wouldn't take much to make this into a wedding card either.

Stampin' Up! 40th Wedding Anniversary Card

I had the pleasure this month, of making a 40th wedding anniversary card. While making it, I rummaged around my house praying that a kid still had some gold-ish Easter egg foil left laying around. Not only did we have some left but I even found that some of the kids still have chocolate left from Easter!
