Try it Thursday #15 - Large Origami Gift Pouch featuring Stampin' Up! Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper

Today's "Try it Thursday" create is an origami gift pouch which I used for my mother in laws gift on Mothers Day. It is quite a large pocket with the pocket portion measuring 13cm x 17.5cm (5" x 7") and made from a 12" x 12" piece of designer series paper.
One thing the video didn't say clearly to me was to after you fold the DSP in half, fold the right hand side of the triangle over to the 18cm (7") mark and then it is a lot easier to make your left hand fold. (I originally tried folding it at 6" and it was an awkward shape that had bits of paper where they shouldn't have been!)

As I mentioned in this post, I don't own any mothers day stamps so I printed a sentiment and used framelits to cut it out.

Stampin' Up! New Product Release - Stampin' Blends

Anyone love to colour?  We've got a great new product available today! They're artist quality alcohol markers in 12 of your favourite Stampin' Up! colours.

- Add just the right amount of colour where you need it with the brush tip or fine-point.
- Each colour (except Ivory and Bronze) has a light and dark shade marker, available individually or in a combo pack.

Just a tip if you are recreating this card featuring the color theory designer series paper stack. I inked the edges of my blue ombre paper with night of navy, marina mist and soft sky inkpads & sponge daubers to co-ordinate with the other elements I inked on my card.

Stampin' Up! Wiggle Wires Techniques Class

August's technique class was making wiggle wires to create an element on your card to move. All classes attendees made 2 cards and a sample piece which is stored in a Memories & More album.
