Stampin' Up! Calypso Coral Alcohol Ink Blended Background with Stampin' Blends

Hi and welcome to another round of the colour creations blog hop. 
For this weeks blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, calypso coral. 
If you remember, from previous years I like to work with the color coach Stampin' Up! provides to add a challenge to my card creations.


This week, I have chosen calypso coral, cherry cobbler and old olive from the colour coach to work with. 
I have created an alcohol ink background using stampin' blends on vellum. I have kept the card very simple as to keep the focus on the alcohol ink background. I have die cut a floral image from meadow dies and adhered it on top of the vellum which is held in place behind a frame created with stitched rectangles dies. The card front is finished off with champagne rhinestone basic jewels.

Stampin' Up! Blackberry Bliss Corner Flip Birthday Card

Hi and welcome to another round of the colour creations blog hop. 
For this weeks blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, Blackberry Bliss.
If you remember, from previous years I like to work with the color coach Stampin' Up! provides to add a challenge to my card creations.


I have chosen blackberry bliss, calypso coral and daffodil delight from the colour coach to work from this week. 

For my card today, I have created a corner fold card again after making one a few weeks ago for parakeet party and I've used the brilliant wings dies for large focal images. I have a cloud design in the background so it looks like the butterflies are fluttering in the sky. I have randomly placed rhinestone basic jewels around the card along with the brushed brass butterflies. I have coloured the brushed brass butterflies in silver using a Sharpie as they fit my card design better than the original brass colour. I have also used some retired silver foil to create an inlaid design to highlight parts of the butterfly.

Stampin' Up! Biggest Wish Camouflage Background Birthday Card

Hi and welcome to another round of the colour creations blog hop. 
For this weeks blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, Bermuda Bay
If you remember, from previous years I like to work with the color coach Stampin' Up! provides to add a challenge to my card creations.
This week, I have chosen Bermuda Bay, Soft Sea Foam and Garden Green from the colour coach to work with. I have used the camouflage technique and my three chosen inks (Bermuda Bay, Soft Sea Foam and Garden Green) to create my background. I stamped the Happy Birthday stamps from Biggest Wish stamp set on a strip of Very Vanilla cardstock for a simple yet bold sentiment. I finished off the card front with some retired Coastal Cabana resin dots that I coloured over with my Bermuda Bay stampin' blends.

Stampin' Up! Tahitian Tide Daisy Garden Just a Note Card

Hi and welcome to another round of the colour creations blog hop. 
For this weeks blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, Tahitian Tide.
If you remember, from previous years I like to work with the color coach Stampin' Up! provides to add a challenge to my card creations.


This week, I have chosen Tahitian Tide, granny apple green and daffodil delight from the colour coach to work with.
I have also teamed these colours up with the daisy garden background stamp and the spotlighting technique. I coloured the spotlighting circle in with stampin' blends, die cut it out using layering circles dies and raised the image up with stampin' dimensionals. The sentiment is from flowing flowers from the January - June mini catalogue, which I stamped onto Tahitian Tide cardstock and shadowed with basic black cardstock (and also raised up with stampin' dimensionals). I used my dark granny apple green stampin' blend marker to colour pearl basic jewels and used them to decorate my daisy garden background.

Inside the card, I stamped a portion of the daisy garden stamp in Sahara sand. I only repeated this element on the envelope. 
I went for no sentiment inside the card, so the just a note, will work for any occasion.

Stampin' Up! Parakeet Party Corner Flip No Occasion Card

Hi and welcome to another round of the colour creations blog hop. It's been a while for me so I am excited to be back creating these lovely ladies. 
For this weeks blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, Parakeet Party. 
If you remember, from previous years I like to work with the color coach Stampin' Up! provides to add a challenge to my card creations.
This week, I have chosen parakeet party, coastal cabana and poppy parade from the colour coach to work with.

For my card today, I have created a corner fold card and used the lovely summer shadows dies for the large bold floral images (and the small coastal cabana flower inside the card). I have used the inlaid embossing on the large flowers and also left some with just the outline image. I've also used the stitched greenery die to create the parakeet party background. Basic rhinestone jewels helped complete the card. I have left the card with no sentiment both on the front and the inside so it can be used for any occasion.

Stampin' Up! Twisted Ribbon Birthday Card with Artistically Inked Bundle

For my techniques class this month I featured the Twisted Ribbon technique. This is one of the cards made featuring artistically inked stamp set, expressions in ink DSP (retiring) and stitched greenery die.

Stampin' Up! Tea Bag ATC's with Whiskey Business Stamp Set

These are some ATC's I made a while back. I found this in my drafts but I figured it was still worth sharing. The background of the ATC's (the cinnamon cider panel) is covered with a tea bag. In the one on the left, I have used the faux silk technique and scrunched the tea bag up for added texture when adhering it where as when adhering the tea bag on the right I laid it down completely flat. I personally prefer the added texture but like seeing the contrast of the two next each other.

Stampin' Up! No Occasion Delicate Dahlias Card

With sale-a-bration ending today, I had one last play with delicate dahlias stamp set. I also had a play with the soft pastels. They are heaps of fun to play with and at $15.75 (AUD), they aren't expensive to grab a pack and have a go! 


I used the soft pastels to create the dahlias/leaves on the left hand vertical panel by using the distinctive stamps and I covered the panel with faux silk technique for added interest which also softened the images even more. I stamped the line art image in crushed curry ink on crushed curry cardstock for a tone on tone look and stamped both the line art image and the distinctive image for the main focal crushed curry image, which I then fussy cut out. I raised the fussy cut out image on stampin' dimensionals. Two leaves have been stamped in mossy meadow and also fussy cut out. They have been stacked up and adhered behind the raised dahlia. I had used gold pearls I found in my stash to complete the card front.

Stampin' Up! Delicate Dahlias Birthday Card with Biggest Wish

Today, we have week 17 of the colour creations blog hop. We have returned to the traditional blog hop like a circle, for this new round so we hop you enjoy blog hoping round to everyone's blog. You may have found me via Kate Morgan's blog. If not that's ok! Hi and welcome! 

For this weeks blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, flirty flamingo. 
I have chosen flirty flamingo, daffodil delight and old olive from the colour coach to work from this week. 

For my card today I have used the lovely delicate dahlias stamp set as the main focal image for my card. Delicate dahlias stamp set is one of the free products available as part of sale-a-bration. There are 10 products to choose from - 4 stamp sets, 3 paper packs, 1 speciality paper and a 2 dies sets! Free products are available with purchases of $90 or more. I stamped the large dahlia in flirty flamingo twice and fussy cut it out and layered it on top of each other with stampin' dimensionals in between for dimension. The smaller flowers are stamped in daffodil delight and large rhinestone basic jewels adorn the centre of the flowers. The leaves are stamped in old olive. The sentiment is from biggest wish stamp set and the word happy is heat embossed in white embossing power onto basic black cardstock, the birthday is in flirty flamingo ink on basic white cardstock and fussy cut out. All layers on the card are on a piece of crumb cake sewing machine pattern that is adhered in place with the faux silk technique for texture. Additional rhinestone basic jewels are placed in various spots around the card to finish it off.

Stampin' Up! Triple Point For You Card with Be Dazzling Speciality Paper and Camouflage Technique

Today, we have week 12 of the colour creations blog hop. We have returned to the traditional blog hop like a circle, for this new round so we hop you enjoy blog hoping round to everyone's blog. You may have found me via Kate Morgan's blog. If not that's ok! Hi and welcome! 

For this weeks blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, coastal cabana.
I have chosen coastal cabana, melon mambo and gorgeous grape from the colour coach to work from this week. 

For today's card, I have chosen to create a a triple point card. It is a top folding card and with the edges you cut off, you use them to decorate the front and create the triple points on the card front. I used the timeworn type 3D embossing folder to add some texture to the coastal cabana cardstock on the card front and embellished it with elegant faceted gems. I have used the playful alphabet dies with the be dazzling speciality paper and the speciality paper is free with any purchase of $90+ during sale-a-bration (August 3rd - September 30th). I created a camouflage background for inside the card with my colour coach colours. As I made a for you card, I left the inside of the card, blank with no sentiment.
