Stampin' Up! Cards Using Favored Flowers Offcuts

After making the diagonal joy fold cards with the favoured flowers DSP I had a lot of offcuts. I wanted to find a way to use the offcuts and these are some cards I created.

Stampin' Up! Diagonal Joy Fold Card with Favored Flowers DSP

This is the second card made in the January techniques class that focused on the Diagonal Joy Fold cards. Here is the other card (in case you missed it). I again used sale-a-bration product, this time I focused on the Favored Flowers DSP. Which you of course can earn for free with an order of $90+ between now and February 28th, 2023. 

Today's card is very similar to yesterdays except I stamped the petal pink cardstock randomly with the words from Quiet Meadow so it wasn't so "empty" before adhering my fussy cut floral image and evening evergreen die cuts in place.

Stampin' Up! Diagonal Joy Fold Card with Adorable Owls Stamp Set & Dandy Designs DSP

For this months techniques class I made Diagonal Joy Fold cards. (I'll show the second card tomorrow). The first card uses the adorable owls stamp set and the dandy designs designer series paper, both items you can earn for free with orders of $90+ between now and February 28th, 2023. It is a fairly easy, yet pretty wow card. My favourite kind of card to be honest.

Stampin' Up! Best Wishes Blended Background Card with Perfect Pomegranate Stamp Set

When I first saw the Perfect Pomegranate stamp set I was shocked and unsure what to do with it but was loving the leaves stamps. I have used the larger "tree" leaves for bushes on my card today. I have also used blending brushes to create a cloud in the sky design, stamped a sentiment from Cottage Rose (a solid favourite at the moment) and the small flowers are from artistically inked. I tried to create a yellow/orange ombre design on the die cut butterflies and finished off the card with brushed brass butterflies.

I went a little over the top with the decorating of the inside of this card (and the envelope). It definitely matches the front of the card!

Stampin' Up! Rings of Love DSP Birthday Card

I am crazy and find fussy cutting relaxing and saw the rings of love DSP as a perfect chance to get some fussy cutting in. You can earn the rings of love DSP for free (along with other products) if you place a $90+ order this month (ends on Wednesday August 31st, which is just days away!)   


The mandala image (which is on the backside of the houses DSP) was crying out to be layered in my opinion and I popped each layer up with stampin' dimensionals. I also cut out small sections on the side/edge of the DSP and use them on the envelope and inside the card. Using the adhesive sheets on the back of the DSP before you fussy cut the image out allows the to become a sticker and means adhering the image is a breeze.

My layered mandala image is adhered onto a layering circles die cut and it is on a painted textured embossed background. I have used retired Holiday Rhinestone basic jewels on the mandala image as they were the perfect colour and a touch of bling. I stamped a simple happy birthday sentiment from Cottage Rose stamp set.

Stampin' Up! Wonderful World Birthday Card

I had a quick play with the wonderful world stamp set (a sale-a-bration level 2 stamp set which also comes with a pack of 12" x 12" DSP) and came up with this birthday card. My card has tone on tone stamping in the background and markers direct to rubber on the basic white cardstock. I've used the distressed gold speciality paper for the first time and I love how it lifts the card. I will certainly be using that again for sure.

Stampin' Up! Triple Diamond Point Birthday Card with Perfect Pomegranate Stamp Set

Hi and welcome to another round of the colour creations blog hop. 
For this weeks blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, crushed curry. 
If you remember, from previous years I like to work with the color coach Stampin' Up! provides to add a challenge to my card creations.


This week, I have chosen crushed curry, calypso coral and garden green from the colour coach to work with. 
I have created a birthday card by CASEing the sale-a-bration brochure. The card shown below (in the bottom right hand corner) is from the 2022 sale-a-bration brochure, 16 ©2020 Stampin' Up!®. 


I stamped the floral base images in crushed curry onto basic white cardstock. I used crumb cake banners under the birthday sentiment. All the leaves (in garden green and granny apple green) and the smaller flowers (calypso coral) are fussy cut and placed randomly. The sentiment is stamped from Nature's Prints and die cut from Painted Labels dies. The DSP used in the triple diamond point is from Rustic Harvest DSP from the July - December mini catalogue.

Try it Thursday #24 - Triple Diamond Point Card with Trees for Sale Stamp Set & Tree Lot Dies

I was cruising 'round Facebook the other day and saw this cracker of a card that fellow Aussie SU demo Linda Dalke made and I fell in love with it. I did my best to recreate her card and added it onto a Triple Diamond Point card for some added wow. The card uses Trees for Sale stamp set from the July - December mini catalogue and it also coordinates with the Tree Lots dies that are available as a sale-a-bration freebie if you spend $180+. Sale-a-bration freebies begin on orders from $90+.

A tip that saved on die cutting the caravan many times over, I used a sharpie (black and silver) to colour in the caravan tyre and jockey wheel so I didn't have to keep on die cutting the caravan many times over.  

My card measures 6" x 6" so I made a custom envelope to suit and of course I had to decorate the envelope, along with the inside of the card.

Stampin' Up! Friendly Hello Best Wishes Card

I was unsure where to start with the friendly hello DSP when I received it so I turned to the sale-a-bration catalogue for inspiration. The cards shown below are from the 2022 Sale-A-Bration brochure, page 13 ©2022 Stampin' Up!®.


My card today is a CASE of the one in the centre, with the wording "You have my love and support".

I stamped the friendly hello DSP with the friendly hello stamp set and fussy cut the DSP before adhering it onto vellum cardstock. The vellum cardstock has been layered onto striped DSP which I inked the edges using sahara sand ink. I layered the DSP onto pool party cardstock and adhered it all onto fresh freesia card base. A stamped sentiment from artistically inked and die cut in layered circles dies along with rhinestone basic jewels finished off the card front.
