Stampin' Up! Triple Point Textures & Frames Birthday Card

For this weeks blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, garden green. 
I have chosen garden green, melon mambo and coastal cabana from the colour coach to work from this week. I also added in some so saffron and basic gray. 

For my card tonight, I used the sale-a-bration products textures and frames stamp set and be dazzling speciality paper. I have made a triple point birthday card. I love the playfulness of the textures and frames stamp set and it creates some great backgrounds and I think it suits a triple point card well. I embossed my garden green cardstock with merry melody 3D embossing folder to play on the birthday theme. It is a great Christmas embossing folder but I very much like it for birthdays. I've used holiday rhinestone basic jewels on the garden green cardstock for some added bling as well. Later on you will see I have also stamped the envelope with the textures and frames stamp set. Very easy to do when you have the stamps and ink pads out when you are making the card.

Stampin' Up! Gorgeous Leaves For You Card

For this weeks blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, early espresso. 
I have chosen early esspresso, coastal cabana and garden green from the colour coach to work from this week. 
My card today was CASED from the July - December 2021 mini catalogue, page 70 ©2020 Stampin' Up!® or I have it shown just below.


I have stamped the leaves from gorgeous leaves stamp set in garden green and coastal cabana and die cut them out with intricate leaves dies. I also die cut out other leaf shapes in garden green, coastal cabana and cherry cobbler. Branches were cut in early espresso and a large maple shaped leaf in brushed metallic cardstock. Playful alphabet dies were die cut with foam adhesive sheets on the back so they would be popped up on the card. Remember when using fine die cuts, use adhesive sheets to make them easy to adhere in place. The brushed metallic adhesive backed dots were added as the finishing touch to the card front.

Inside card - The dotted stamp is stamped with the first impression stamped off on scrap paper and then the second on the basic white cardstock (so a lighter image appears). A stamped leaf and die cut finishes off the inside of the card.

Stampin' Up! Triple Point For You Card with Be Dazzling Speciality Paper and Camouflage Technique

For this weeks blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, coastal cabana.
I have chosen coastal cabana, melon mambo and gorgeous grape from the colour coach to work from this week. 

For today's card, I have chosen to create a a triple point card. It is a top folding card and with the edges you cut off, you use them to decorate the front and create the triple points on the card front. I used the timeworn type 3D embossing folder to add some texture to the coastal cabana cardstock on the card front and embellished it with elegant faceted gems. I have used the playful alphabet dies with the be dazzling speciality paper and the speciality paper is free with any purchase of $90+ during sale-a-bration (August 3rd - September 30th). I created a camouflage background for inside the card with my colour coach colours. As I made a for you card, I left the inside of the card, blank with no sentiment.

Stampin' Up! Camouflage Background Thank You Card with Biggest Wish Stamp Set

For this weeks blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, cinnamon cider.
I have chosen cinnamon cider, early espresso and petal pink from the colour coach to work from this week. 

For my card today, I have used the camouflage technique to create my background. I've used crumb cake, cinnamon cider, early espresso and petal pink inks. With the playful alphabet dies and biggest wish stamp set for the double "thanks" sentiment. I also used the message dies for a pop of petal pink behind the thanks sentiments.

Stampin' Up! Pansy Petals 90th Birthday Concertina Card

My Grandmother turned 90th this month while we were in lockdown for the 5th time in Melbourne and sadly we still haven't been able to get together to celebrate her birthday (for the second year in a row). I made this concertina card for her and it uses the Pansy Petals DSP which is part of the DSP special. It is very similar to a 100th card I made a couple of years ago for my great aunt.  

The card is made from the thick cardboard that comes in the memories and more page protectors and measures just over 6" x 8" (when closed). When the entire card is open flat, it is over 1.8m long. The card has 90 years worth of history and facts including the population of Australia and Holland (where my Grandmother is from), when my Grandmother got married, her 5 children were born, the first/last grandchild was born and the first/latest great grandchild was born along with along with birthday wishes and large letters spelling out the word ninety.

Stampin' Up! Birthday Card with In the Wild DSP

For this weeks blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, cajun craze.
I originally picked cajun craze, so saffron and old olive from the colour coach to work from this week. Then I decided I wanted to work with the In the Wild DSP and and tired to keep my colour choices in mind with my cardstock swatch and have gone with cajun craze, crushed curry and evening evergreen instead.

I'm working with the In the Wild DSP this week for two reasons, 1. It is one of the DSP's available at 15% off till August 2nd and 2. I rarely use a lot of DSP and come the end of the catalogue I tend to have a stash of unused DSP. I am trying to get better at using my stash of DSP.
I got the In the Wild DSP in a DSP share (so it wasn't a full pack I had to work with) and I had no other products from the suite to use but I took it on as a challenge to create a card for today. After I fussy cut the cajun craze tiger out and because I didn't leave a very large white border, I felt the tiger was competing with the colour leaf DSP I was using. I have used a piece of vellum over the top of the DSP as an overlay to tone down the colours. The vellum is held in place by hidden adhesive under the tiger, happy birthday sentiment and matt black dots.
The happy birthday sentiment is from artistically inked stamp set and I used the messages die to die cut the sentiment birthday sentiment. The matt black dots add some visual interest and I think make it look like the tiger is looking for food.

Inside card - I actually like the inside of the card better than the card front but as it didn't have a lot of cajun craze on it I didn't seperate it and use it for another cajun craze card. I typed the words on my computer leaving a space for the playful alphabet die cut word "wild".

Stampin' Up! Hats Off Bundle Four Year Old Birthday Card

I have chosen bermuda Bay, rich razzleberry and crushed curry from the colour coach to work from this week. 


My youngest nephew Hunter turned 4 on Monday and I made my bermuda bay card for him. I turned to the hats off bundle to create a number 4 hat and personalised the card with Hunter's name as he is now recognising that his name starts with H. I added stars from the stitched stars dies and used the messages die to cut out the sentiment from artificially inked.

Stampin' Up! Mothers Day Card with Hydrangea Hill Suite

Today, we had an early Mothers Day celebration with my in laws. This is the card I made for my mother in law. She loves flowers and when I saw the 12" design on the Hydrangea Hill DSP, I knew it was perfect her card. I used the outlined die cut lettering technique from my April techniques class and wrote Happy G'ma Day as that is what we call her in shorthand for Grandma when we are writing messages on our phones etc. (and Grandma wouldn't fit!)

Stampin' Up! 18th Birthday Chocolate Slider Box

Today I have another chocolate slider box to share. I made this one as a 18th birthday gift. I again put money inside it but as I was finishing it, it occurred to my it would be a great place to also put a gift card. For an 18th for a local liquor store even (or someplace else!)
For my international readers, in Victoria, (my home state), 18 is the magical age where you can get your license, purchase alcohol, get a tattoo, get married etc. (Most of those are the same Australia wide but the driving age does differ from state to state.)


For this chocolate slider box, I added in some of the swirls from the stitched star dies for added interest. I used the large swirly die circled in red below. I used both the swirls and the stars from the die. I used my paper snips to snip off the swirls.

Stampin' Up! Dude You're How Old Birthday Card with Playful Alphabet Dies and Outlined Die Cut Letters

Today's card for Masculine Monday is titled "Dude, you're how old??" I made it for my nephew who will be 23 later this year. I made it in advance as it is a sample for this months techniques class, outlined die cut letters. 

My card uses a lot of retiring products and sadly, many which had already sold out from the Last Chance Product Sale but happy dies is still available (it's the only retiring product I've used that hasn't sold out!) I tucked some gears from garage gears under my outlined die cut lettering for added interest and layered all the lettering and die cuts onto The World Of Good DSP. The bumblebee flag banner is from happy dies.
