Stampin' Up! DSP 18th Birthday Pocket with In Good Taste DSP

My eldest son turned 18 yesterday and not all his presents arrived in time and thanks to being in Lockdown 5.0 there was not a lot we could do for his big celebration. I made a little DSP origami pocket to put images of his missing presents and to stash some cash. I used the In Good Taste DSP which is on special at the moment till August 2nd for 15% off, now $31.45 instead of $37! Stampin' Up! Origami Trees with Tidings of Christmas DSP

Tonight I am joining some fellow demonstrators on a Christmas blog hop. We aim to bring you Christmas inspiration every Monday evening right through to Mid December!

For my card today I made some origami trees out of the Tidings of Christmas DSP. The Tidings of Christmas DSP is part of the 15% off DSP sale that is available till August 2nd in case you want to stock up on your DSP stash!
The trees are made from 3 squares, 2 1/4", 1 3/4" and 1 1/4" and you fold each square in half on the diagonal and them fold one triangle down to the middle and repeat for all three squares. You then stack the 3 now triangles to create the tree shape. I added a gold foil star (from give it a whirl dies) and a soft suede tree trunk to help create the illusion of a tree.  The sentiment for both the card front (and inside the card is from Inspired Thoughts stamp set).

DSP blog hop

I'm blog hopping with a bunch of crafty friends again this weekend. Our theme for this month is designer series paper. I am a terrible DSP hoarder. Often I don't want to cut into a piece of 12 x 12 and "ruin" it... How silly am I? Taking this months theme I am diving head first into my DSP stash. I've made a card featuring a dahlia folded flower in the centre panel.

Welcome to my final day of my 12 days of Christmas. My final project is a yet another decoration. My eldest son Josh, loves it and wants me to teach him how to make his own.... Hmm... LOL
