Stampin' Up! Soccer Birthday Card with Wanted to Say Dies

My youngest nephew just turned 7 and we celebrated with a birthday dinner for his this evening. He is interested in soccer so that was the theme for his card this year. I don't own any soccer themed products so I had to get creative. I used a retired hexagon hive die for the pattern on the "7" that I cut out. I hand cut the grass and created a cloud background. I used the Wanted the Say dies to add the "Celebrate" sentiment at the base of the card as I was originally going to stamp Happy Birthday inside the card but in the end I left it sentiment less so I could write more.

Stampin' Up! Adventurous Sky Corner Flip Birthday Card

My youngest daughter turned 17 yesterday and part of her birthday present she got a gift voucher for a trial introductory flight. Of course I had to use Adventurous Sky bundle from the upcoming 2024 - 2025 Stampin' Up annual catalogue. Bella had an idea that her present had something to do with planes based on her card but she certainly had no complaints.

Stampin' Up! Aztec Pyramid Birthday Card with Most Adored Speciality DSP

The pink in the Most Adored speciality DSP screams one of my daughter's close friends name, so I made her birthday card early, (her birthday is in April). After making my mum's birthday card, I wanted to try it again in another DSP so I mixed and match and here we are with yet another sale-a-bration DSP Aztec Pyramid birthday card . There is only days left to get your hands on this DSP and other sale-a-bration products. Spend $90 or more AUD to get free products, available till Thursday, February 29th. 

I inked all the edges of the cardstock and DSP with co-ordinating inks and die cut the circle using retired layering circle dies and the numbers are again from a retired die set called large number framelits yet cut in distressed gold speciality paper (which is current). The sentiment is probably my ultimate favourite birthday sentiment in the current annual catalogue which is from Artistically Inked stamp set which I have popped up on dimensionals. A few pastel pink gems randomly placed around finished off the card front.

I didn't photograph the back side of the card (the writing panel) as it is just a plain basic white piece of card allowing my daughter plenty of room to write a message for her friend.

Stampin' Up Patchwork Pieces Quick & Easy Birthday Cards

My youngest daughter needed an 18th birthday card quickly for tonights birthday celebration and requested a blue theme so I sprang into action and whipped her up two cards swiftly (one for next week's party as well). The patchwork pieces die made short work for my card making efforts and I teamed it with timeworn type 3D embossing folder and the text stamp from "Quite Meadow" stamp set. The designer series paper I have used is a retired one called texture chic. I finished it all off with alphabet a la mode dies, stylish shapes dies and distress gold speciality paper.

Stampin' Up! Level Complete Triple Fold Card

Hi and welcome to another round of the colour creations blog hop. 
For this weeks blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, basic gray.
If you remember, from previous years I like to work with the color coach Stampin' Up! provides to add a challenge to my card creations.

This week, I have chosen basic gray, daffodil delight and lemon lime twist from the colour coach to work with. As the colour challenge wasn't enough, I made this card as a class sample and for my nephew's 11th birthday as well!
I created my own DSP using lemon lime twist cardstock and the level complete step set to create the strips on the right hand side of the card (and the inside). I stamped the strips in lemon lime twist ink in full strength and also second generation stamping for the two tone look. I also created the DSP style panel on the left hand side of the card using the two controller images in the level complete stamp set with basic gray ink. I used real red, lemon lime twist, daffodil delight and tahitian tide stampin blends to colour in the controller buttons. I completed the card with another controller that I fussy cut out and raised a leveled up banner on daffodil delight cardstock that sits atop a belly band.

Stampin' Up! Car Shaped 18th Birthday Card

My eldest daughter turned 18 yesterday and as she brought her first car last week I made her a car shaped card for her birthday. I tried to make it look just like her car (which she has named Gary). I grabbed a couple of retired supplies (calendar alphabet and numbers) for the background stamping and messages die as it fit perfectly around the Happy Birthday stamp from Artistically inked. The car shape is a file from my electronic die cutting machine.

Stampin' Up! Balmy Blue Diagonal Double Fold Card

Hi and welcome to another round of the colour creations blog hop. 
For this weeks blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, Balmy Blue
If you remember, from previous years I like to work with the color coach Stampin' Up! provides to add a challenge to my card creations.


This week, I have chosen Balmy Blue, Night of Navy and Granny Apple Green from the colour coach to work with. 
Each time I have done a balmy blue blog hop, I can't help myself, I have always chosen the same colour combination. This year, I decided to make a card for my nephew Hunter and since his favourite colour is green I had no choice but to go with the same colour combination again! Hopefully, he likes the diagonal double fold card, it is a fun fold. I originally had an opps when I cut the DSP and cut it on the wrong angle as I had intended the card to be a vertical card not horizontal. Not wanting to waste the DSP, I went with it anyway.

The DSP I have uses is from the Abstract Beauty 4" x 6" pack (it's on the last chance product list for $18.20!) and the granny apple green is from last years Brights design (my this years pack hasn't arrived yet). I die cut the 5 using my electronic die cut machine and the circle/scalloped circle is from the layering circles dies. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from Art Gallery stamp set.

Stampin' Up! Happiest of Birthdays Stitched Stars Birthday Card

My kids have been going to A LOT of birthday parties lately especially 17ths and 18ths and I have been whipping up birthday cards like no tomorrow. This is one of the cards I made for a friend of Nikki's. Her request was to use MANY stars. How do you think I did? 

I stamped the basic white background with the star stamp from the Christmas Whimsy card kit in smoky slate ink. I added flecks of ink in balmy blue, granny apple green and highland heather onto the basic white background also so it wasn't so stark before adding the star die cuts. To complete the card I added the sentiment from happiest of birthdays and some random adhesive stars that have since retired that I found in my stash.

Both the Happiest of Birthdays stamp set $33.00 and Stitched Stars dies $66.00 $39.60 are on the Last Chance product list. I am really going to miss the Happiest of Birthdays stamp set, it is probably one of my most favourite birthday stamp sets ever. Do you have a favourite birthday stamp set?

Stampin' Up! Birthday Card with In the Wild DSP

Today, we have week eight of the colour creations blog hop. We have returned to the traditional blog hop like a circle, for this new round so we hop you enjoy blog hoping round to everyone's blog. You may have found me via Catherine Proctor's blog. If not that's ok! Hi and welcome! 

For this weeks blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, cajun craze.
I originally picked cajun craze, so saffron and old olive from the colour coach to work from this week. Then I decided I wanted to work with the In the Wild DSP and and tired to keep my colour choices in mind with my cardstock swatch and have gone with cajun craze, crushed curry and evening evergreen instead.

I'm working with the In the Wild DSP this week for two reasons, 1. It is one of the DSP's available at 15% off till August 2nd and 2. I rarely use a lot of DSP and come the end of the catalogue I tend to have a stash of unused DSP. I am trying to get better at using my stash of DSP.
I got the In the Wild DSP in a DSP share (so it wasn't a full pack I had to work with) and I had no other products from the suite to use but I took it on as a challenge to create a card for today. After I fussy cut the cajun craze tiger out and because I didn't leave a very large white border, I felt the tiger was competing with the colour leaf DSP I was using. I have used a piece of vellum over the top of the DSP as an overlay to tone down the colours. The vellum is held in place by hidden adhesive under the tiger, happy birthday sentiment and matt black dots.
The happy birthday sentiment is from artistically inked stamp set and I used the messages die to die cut the sentiment birthday sentiment. The matt black dots add some visual interest and I think make it look like the tiger is looking for food.

Inside card - I actually like the inside of the card better than the card front but as it didn't have a lot of cajun craze on it I didn't seperate it and use it for another cajun craze card. I typed the words on my computer leaving a space for the playful alphabet die cut word "wild".

Stampin' Up! DSP 18th Birthday Pocket with In Good Taste DSP

My eldest son turned 18 yesterday and not all his presents arrived in time and thanks to being in Lockdown 5.0 there was not a lot we could do for his big celebration. I made a little DSP origami pocket to put images of his missing presents and to stash some cash. I used the In Good Taste DSP which is on special at the moment till August 2nd for 15% off, now $31.45 instead of $37!
