I love how eye catching this birthday card is. The bright and beautiful DSP really is a showstopper isn't it? Playing off the colours in the DSP I added in the balloons from Beautiful Balloons Dies and Artistically Inked stamp set (sold out) which are both on the last chance products list.

The Eat Cake words are from Heartfelt Hexagon stamp set and Happy Birthday from Something Fancy stamp set.

Using the gorgeous designs in the Flight and Airy DSP I made a faux shutter card front and a pretty pleats card inside. The pretty pleats design shows off the full 12" of the DSP and allows the paper to really shine. Stampin' Up! Delightfully Eclectic This or That Card with Heartfelt Hellos Stamp Set

I made the below card on the right for a techniques class (using DSP for a card base with a pocket inside the card) and was pretty happy with my card but then I decided to make a second version so I add it to my stash to give to my grandmother and I think I love it even more with the cajun craze cardstock under the DSP. What do you think, which card do you like best? 

I used Heartfelt Hello stamp set from the sale-a-bration free stamps and omitted the word "Mother's" from the stamp and used the mini alphabet dies to spell out the word birth to give more versatility to the stamp set. I can see me getting a lot of use out of the stamp set even after sale-a-bration as the "Thinking of you this Easter" stamp can just be Thinking of you. If you don't have this stamp set, you can grab it for free if you place a $90 order between now and February 29th!

Stampin' Up! Strip & Flip Cards with Designer Series Papers

Do you have a lot of DSP strips left over and not know what to do with them? I was inspired by Heidi Collins to make these cards as these cards are a great way to use up your DSP and are fun to make. I made 3 different sized cards all with similar DSP strips and different coloured matts/card bases and sentiments to see if they would look very different from one another with small changes.

Stampin' Up! Enjoy Your Day Card with Watercolor Melon Stamp Set

Have you looked at Watercolor Melon stamp set and wondered can it be made into anything else?
I had this thought and came up with this "arty" design card. I also mixed in the splats Nature's Prints stamp set and the tiny dots from Artistically Inked stamp set. The sentiment is from heartfelt hellos stamp set and the outline is from heartfelt hexagons. 

 I used the watermelon rind to create the hashtag type shape on my card by straightening the photopolymer stamp and stamping it a few times to get the look I wanted. See below for the stamp I am talking about.

Stampin' Up! Watercolor Melon Corner Flip Birthday Card

My SIL had a birthday yesterday and what kind of card marker would I be if I didn't give her a handmade card with her gift?
I used a couple of sale-a-bration FREE products (Watercolor Melon stamp set and the Most Adored speciality paper) on the card and I love how fun and summery It turned out. 


The modern oval punch coordinates with the whole watermelon shape but I haven't brought that yet (opps) so I fussy cut around the whole watermelon while cutting around the individual watermelon pieces.
I also used the mini alphabet dies and I can see myself using them A LOT! I didn't have a stamp set that said the words "Have a" so I typed that along with the word "day" on my computer in Futura font (size 18) to completed the sentiment I wanted for the card front. 
I also loved making a corner flip fold for this card. It's been a while since I made one but they are fun and quite simple to make.

Stampin' Up! Flight and Airy DSP Aztec Pyramid Birthday Card

Yesterday was my mum's birthday and I always try to make her a fun/fancy fold card. This is my attempt for this year, an Aztec Pyramid Card featuring Flight and Airy DSP which is one of the Level 1 sale-a-bration free products. There is 10, level 1 ($90 spend) to choose from and 3, level 2 ($180 spend).
The Flight and Airy DSP is the star of this card and the artistically inked sentiment is a minor feature which I have stamped on bubble bath cardstock in memento and popped up with dimensionals. I fussy cut the bird image that didn't fit in my circle die cut and allowed it to overhang the circle matt. 


As I can't give a naked envelope, a strip of DSP easily decorated the envelope

The sentiment is from heartfelt hexagons and I again fussy cut another bird image for the writing panel.
