Hi and welcome to another round of the colour creations blog hop.
For this weeks blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, blueberry bushel.
If you remember, from previous years I like to work with the color coach Stampin' Up! provides to add a challenge to my card creations.
This week, I have chosen blueberry bushel, granny apple green and real red from the colour coach to work with.
My original plan was to use blueberry bushel inkpad and a stamp set I haven't given a lot of love to but after opening my inkpad and discovering it was very juicy I changed my plans. These are my hands after cleaning my ink pad up.
I opted for a simpler card design that required less stamping with a very juicy inkpad.
I made a triple point card with embossed panels using the timeworn type 3D embossing folder which are then matted in Granny Apple Green cardstock. The happy birthday sentiment is from the Wanted to Say dies and is mounted on a basic white Something Fancy die cut. Lots of dimensionals were used to raise up the Happy Birthday die, the Something Fancy die and also the cross point of the triple point card. I finished the card front off with a few basic rhinestones.
The blueberry bushel carsdtock inside the card is stamped with blueberry bushel ink for a tone on tone look using the "book spiral crayon rubbing" stamp from Gorgeously Made stamp set. I didn't stamp any sentiments inside the card to leave as much room as possible for writing a birthday message.
