Welcome to another Art with Heart Team blog hop where we are focusing on creative projects by adding texture with embossing. Embossing can add a lovely dimension, and with our wonderful Stampin’ Up! products, we can create many different looks. These include heat embossing using embossing powder, dry embossing using our textured folders or by adding embossing paste!
You may have come to my blog from Alisha Watson. Blog hops are full circles, so start blog hopping here and and the end of my post (and everyone else's) there is a link to the next post.
On my card today, I have used two types of embossing. I have used embossing paste to create the clouds with dimension in the background and I have also heat embossed the brads (which are the centre of the owl eyes). Did you know that you can change the colour of your embellishments with embossing powder? All you have to do is dip the brad (in this case) into the versamark ink pad, then dip the brad into the embossing powder and heat set the embossing powder using a heat tool. If you find that one coat isn't enough, once the brad has cooled, repeat all the steps again until you are happy with the coverage. Using tweezers certainly makes holding the brads a lot easier!
