Stampin' Up! Legendary Ride Birthday Card

This birthday card with Legendary Ride stamp set and dies is one of the cards made in techniques class recently. Participants made backgrounds using the wheels on toy cards. I certainly had fun getting creative and I think they all did as well.

Stampin' Up! Level Complete Triple Fold Card

Hi and welcome to another round of the colour creations blog hop. 
For this weeks blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, basic gray.
If you remember, from previous years I like to work with the color coach Stampin' Up! provides to add a challenge to my card creations.

This week, I have chosen basic gray, daffodil delight and lemon lime twist from the colour coach to work with. As the colour challenge wasn't enough, I made this card as a class sample and for my nephew's 11th birthday as well!
I created my own DSP using lemon lime twist cardstock and the level complete step set to create the strips on the right hand side of the card (and the inside). I stamped the strips in lemon lime twist ink in full strength and also second generation stamping for the two tone look. I also created the DSP style panel on the left hand side of the card using the two controller images in the level complete stamp set with basic gray ink. I used real red, lemon lime twist, daffodil delight and tahitian tide stampin blends to colour in the controller buttons. I completed the card with another controller that I fussy cut out and raised a leveled up banner on daffodil delight cardstock that sits atop a belly band.

Stampin' Up! Twisted Ribbon Birthday Card with Artistically Inked Bundle

Stampin Up Artfully Layered Triple Point Card

One of my favourite new bundles from the January - June mini catalogue is the Artfully Layered bundle. I used the stamp set and dies, which are available to purchase as a bundle at a 10% discount and a couple of other products to create todays card. This was one of the cards made in my January techniques class. February techniques class had to be postposed due to my house being in iso with my husband getting COVID, then we got out and then we were back in iso again as my youngest daughter got COVID. My eldest daughter is the only one to not have caught COVID and I am still not 100% so haven't rescheduled February dates yet.

Stampin' Up! Mothers Day Card with Hydrangea Hill Suite

Today, we had an early Mothers Day celebration with my in laws. This is the card I made for my mother in law. She loves flowers and when I saw the 12" design on the Hydrangea Hill DSP, I knew it was perfect her card. I used the outlined die cut lettering technique from my April techniques class and wrote Happy G'ma Day as that is what we call her in shorthand for Grandma when we are writing messages on our phones etc. (and Grandma wouldn't fit!)

Stampin' Up! Dude You're How Old Birthday Card with Playful Alphabet Dies and Outlined Die Cut Letters

Today's card for Masculine Monday is titled "Dude, you're how old??" I made it for my nephew who will be 23 later this year. I made it in advance as it is a sample for this months techniques class, outlined die cut letters. 

My card uses a lot of retiring products and sadly, many which had already sold out from the Last Chance Product Sale but happy dies is still available (it's the only retiring product I've used that hasn't sold out!) I tucked some gears from garage gears under my outlined die cut lettering for added interest and layered all the lettering and die cuts onto The World Of Good DSP. The bumblebee flag banner is from happy dies.

Stampin' Up! Gilded Leafing Techniques Class with Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper

There seems to be a trend in late blogging of techniques classes this year! Here is Februrary's class (and tomorrow I will post this months class!)
In February we focused on using the Gilded Leaving Technique and used it with tear and tape and also with the heat and stick powder. As always, class participants made two cards and a sample piece. 


The first card features a few products on the Last Chance List, well written dies (which have now sold out), layering oval dies, terracotta tile cardstock and pretty peacock cardstock. 


The second card is a remake of my Old Olive colour creations card and uses the retiring stitched nested labels die.
