Hi and welcome to another round of the colour creations blog hop.
For this weeks blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, Blueberry Bushel.
If you remember, from previous years I like to work with the color coach Stampin' Up! provides to add a challenge to my card creations.
This week, I have chosen Blueberry Bushel, Summer Splash and Fresh Freesia from the colour coach to work with.
I was really struggling with which colour combination to choose for my card tonight and usually I have a clear I don't want to work "this" combo and pick from this or that. Today, I decided I was going to work with Attention Shoppers bundle and then choose my colour combination for my shopping bags. It was quite backwards to how I usually work.
I inked a few items for my card as the colours weren't working for my colour palette. I used a blending brush to recolour the Country Lace DSP for my Blueberry Bushel shopping bag and then used sponge daubers to recolour some white tissue paper into Summer Splash and Fresh Freesia, so I could adhere it behind my DSP shopping bags.
One shopping bag is made from Country Lace DSP and the other one is from the Dandy Designs DSP (from the Clearance Rack, don't forget you can get some great bargains over there so check it out when shopping online!)
I made the handles on my shopping bags using Summer Splash cardstock and jute twine. I also added a mini swing tag hanging off the shopping bag, as it could be a price tag or a for you tag (but I didn't have a stamp that small and I don't like my handwriting that much to write on it, so I left it blank.)
The shopping trolley is adhered in place with adhesive sheets (perfect for fine dies like this) and cut out using the Silver Foil. I stamped Happy Birthday from Attention Shoppers in Memento onto Summer Splash cardstock and die cut it out using Something Fancy Dies and raised the sentiment up on Stampin' Dimensionals.
The entire shopping trolley has been adhered onto another pieces of Country Lace DSP and adhered onto a piece of Blueberry Bushel Cardstock and then onto a square Basic Beige card.
