Let's Craft Together Love Is In the Air Challenge - Friendly Seagulls Anniversary Card

 

Welcome to the Let’s Craft Together blog hop. We are a group of Stampin’ Up!® demonstrators in Australia. Each month, one person sets a challenge that we use for the blog hop. This month's challenge is a 'Love is in the Air' challenge set by Tracy Held.


I went with a different spin on the 'Love is In the Air' challenge this month and created an anniversary card featuring seagulls and hot chips! The Friendly Seagulls stamp set is one of the many free products can earn if you make a $100 purchase during sale-a-bration (January 7th - February 28th, 2025.) I've teamed the Friendly Seagulls stamp set with Mini Alphabet Dies, Stampin' Blends and Blending Brushes to create a beach scene.

Stampin' Up! 21st Paintball Inspired Overlapping Fold Birthday Card

My eldest son was attending a 21st paintball birthday party and wanted a birthday card. I was up for the challenge to try and make a themed card and here's what I made.
I found an old camouflage background I had made a while ago (before the colour refresh as it has old olive, sahara sand and soft suede inks for the technique) and also used a stencil with various paint splats I had stashed away with the blending brushes and 7 different inkpads and created what I call an overlapping fold card.

Stampin' Up! Best Wishes Blended Background Card with Perfect Pomegranate Stamp Set

When I first saw the Perfect Pomegranate stamp set I was shocked and unsure what to do with it but was loving the leaves stamps. I have used the larger "tree" leaves for bushes on my card today. I have also used blending brushes to create a cloud in the sky design, stamped a sentiment from Cottage Rose (a solid favourite at the moment) and the small flowers are from artistically inked. I tried to create a yellow/orange ombre design on the die cut butterflies and finished off the card with brushed brass butterflies.

I went a little over the top with the decorating of the inside of this card (and the envelope). It definitely matches the front of the card!

Try it Thursday #24 - Triple Diamond Point Card with Trees for Sale Stamp Set & Tree Lot Dies

I was cruising 'round Facebook the other day and saw this cracker of a card that fellow Aussie SU demo Linda Dalke made and I fell in love with it. I did my best to recreate her card and added it onto a Triple Diamond Point card for some added wow. The card uses Trees for Sale stamp set from the July - December mini catalogue and it also coordinates with the Tree Lots dies that are available as a sale-a-bration freebie if you spend $180+. Sale-a-bration freebies begin on orders from $90+.

A tip that saved on die cutting the caravan many times over, I used a sharpie (black and silver) to colour in the caravan tyre and jockey wheel so I didn't have to keep on die cutting the caravan many times over.  

My card measures 6" x 6" so I made a custom envelope to suit and of course I had to decorate the envelope, along with the inside of the card.

Stampin' Up! Sweet Sorbet Butterflies and Flowers Layering Decorative Masks Birthday Card

Hi and welcome to another round of the colour creations blog hop. 
For this weeks blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, Sweet Sorbet.
If you remember, from previous years I like to work with the color coach Stampin' Up! provides to add a challenge to my card creations.


This week, I have chosen sweet sorbet, blushing bride and pool party from the colour coach to work with. 
I have also used the butterflies and flowers layering decorative masks from the January - June mini catalogue along with the blending brushes which make using the decorative masks a dream to use. I have used three of the six masks in the pack, two to create the layered floral design and a third to decorate the pool party cardstock. I die cut my floral decorative mask with the stitched rectangle dies and added the opal rounds for some bling. I stamped the "happy birthday" sentiment from Shaded Summer stamp set and masked the happy (and then re-stamped it) so I could stamp it in the centre of the word birthday image (and for it to fit neatly in the double oval punch). I also tied a double bow with the linen thread to finish off the card. 
Inside the card the sentiment is from nature's prints and I used the masks to create a very mini scene in the corner.

Stampin' Up! Dandy Wishes Birthday Card with Free Tutorial

After posting my top 9 photos of 2021 on Instagram yesterday, I realised I had never shared the completed card which had the teaser blended panel. Opps!
I made the panel for a Dandy Wishes birthday card for a free tutorial with some new Stampin' friends I met on one of my online international training groups.

You may have seen this sneak peak online forever ago (or recently in my top 9 round up 🤣)


This is the finished card and as I like to do, I decorated the envelope and the inside of the card as well!

Stampin' Up! Biggest Wish and Plenty of Patterns Decorative Masks Birthday Card

Today, we have week nine of the colour creations blog hop. We have returned to the traditional blog hop like a circle, for this new round so we hop you enjoy blog hoping round to everyone's blog. You may have found me via Michele Taylor's blog. If not that's ok! Hi and welcome! 

For this weeks blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, calypso coral. 
I have chosen calypso coral, crushed curry and bermuda bay from the colour coach to work from this week. 

For my card today it actually came together rather quickly which to be honest, can be unusual. I know some other demo friends where struggling with their calypso Coral creations and as I had left my creating till late thanks to watching the Olympics I was pleased to not struggle. Thanks to the "plenty of patterns decorative masks", "blending brushes" and my chosen colour coach colours it was a breeze to create my card. I blended bermuda bay ink into crushed curry ink and finished off by adding in the calypso coral ink. All of this ink blending was done on basic white cardstock.   
I heat embossed the "happy" sentiment in white embossing powder on basic black cardstock and stamped the "birthday" portion in calypso coral ink onto basic white cardstock. Both are raised up with stampin' dimensionals. I finished off the card front with some matte black dots.

Stampin' Up! Hello Floral Squares Dies Card

Today, we have week six of the colour creations blog hop. We have returned to the traditional blog hop like a circle, for this new round so we hop you enjoy blog hoping round to everyone's blog. You may have found me via Kristine D'Auria's blog. If not that's ok! Hi and welcome! 
For this weeks blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, blushing bride.
I have chosen blushing bride, highland heather and garden green from the colour coach to work from this week and I snuck in some balmy blue.

I have made a hello card this week. With the sweet floral square dies I decided a hello sentiment was perfect so it can be used for a variety of occasions. I die cut the "square". in balmy blue and garden green cardstock and the additional floral pieces in highland heather. You maybe wondering how did I get the basic black edging if I only die cut the frame in two colours? I used my stampin' write markers and drew around the garden green frame to create the illusion of a black frame. It was much easier than fussy cutting the leaves etc. because I tried that as well!
I have raised my floral frame up off my card using foam adhesive sheets for height and dimension. I tried to create a "double matt" look with the blushing bride cardstock for elegance and sophistication. 


I used the offcut from the balmy blue to act as a stencil (leftover from creating the card front) to decorate the envelope and used the blending brushes for the subtle colouring on the envelope. 


Inside card - is a replication of the front panel and left blank for plenty of writing

Stampin' Up! Meadow Dies Blended Background No Occasion Card

Today, we have week five of the colour creations blog hop. We have returned to the traditional blog hop like a circle, for this new round so we hop you enjoy blog hoping round to everyone's blog. You may have found me via Sharon Davern's blog. If not that's ok! Hi and welcome! 
For this weeks blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, blackberry bliss. 
I have chosen blackberry bliss, gorgeous grape and balmy blue from the colour coach to work from this week. 


Today for my card I have created a blended moody night sky featuring meadow dies. I used the blending brushes and balmy blue cardstock to create my background. Using balmy blue cardstock means I didn't have to use as much ink to to get the depth of blue I wanted. After creating the blended background I added the die cut meadow dies and some black cotton with a little tag and finished the card off with some matt black dots. 
I created this card to be a blank/no sentiment card as I thought it could be used for any occasion. I may add a sentiment on the front when I give it away or just add it on the inside.

Stampin' Up! Suit and Tie Dies Card

Our forty seventh colour we are focusing on for the colour collections blog hop is "smoky slate" from the neutrals collection. I have chosen smoky slate, rich razzleberry and bermuda bay from the colour coach to work with today for my creation. 

For this weeks colour creations blog hop, I had to use the suit and tie dies for a masculine no sentiment/blank card. I thought by leaving it as a blank card, it could be used for many occasions. A birthday, retirement, fathers day or even a graduation etc.
My card today is pretty basic, I added dots to the tie to bring in the rich razzleberry colour and I added fine tip glue pen to my buttons on the suit jacket to make them pop a little bit more. 


I used a the off cut from die cutting the tie to act as a stencil for decorating the envelope (and used the blending brushes to colour in the tie "stencil")
