Stampin' Up! Country Birdhouse Offset Gatefold Birthday Card

I started this card at a retreat back in May and it is very similar to a shoebox swap I made at the same retreat inspired by a fellow demo, thanks Jodie. When I created the original shoebox card I stamped and die cut out a few extra pieces and with the 10% off bundle promotion on this month I was inspired to finish off my card. Obviously, I don't have the dies from the suite to use or else it would look a little different. I had to improvise to finished off my card and used the around the bend dies for the floral/leaf elements. I felt they added enough country feel to the card.

Stampin' Up! Spotlight on Nature Thanks Card

Hi and welcome to another round of the colour creations blog hop. 
For this weeks blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, Basic Gray.
If you remember, from previous years I like to work with the color coach Stampin' Up! provides to add a challenge to my card creations.
This week, I have chosen Basic Gray, Bubble Bath and Highland Heather from the colour coach to work with. 


As it is almost the end of the month, there is only days remaining on the 10% off stamps and die bundle promotion (it ends on June 30th). I thought I'd try using another bundle from that promotion and today's card uses Spotlight on Nature. 
I stamped the left image from Spotlight on Nature in Basic Gray ink onto Basic Gray cardstock to create a tone on tone look. I then adhered a circle from Spotlight on Nature dies on the centre of my card and adhered the floral image which I coloured in with Stampin' Blends and fussy cut. I also coloured in/fussy cut the butterfly as well. I stamped the word "Thanks" from Simply Said stamp set onto Highland Heather cardstock and die cut it out using Nested Essentials dies. I raised both the Thanks sentiment and butterfly up with Stampin' Dimensionals. I finished the card off with some Rhinestone Basic Jewels.  
Inside the card, I used stamped the floral image in Bubble Bath ink and did the same on the envelope.

Stampin' Up! Soccer Birthday Card with Wanted to Say Dies

My youngest nephew just turned 7 and we celebrated with a birthday dinner for his this evening. He is interested in soccer so that was the theme for his card this year. I don't own any soccer themed products so I had to get creative. I used a retired hexagon hive die for the pattern on the "7" that I cut out. I hand cut the grass and created a cloud background. I used the Wanted the Say dies to add the "Celebrate" sentiment at the base of the card as I was originally going to stamp Happy Birthday inside the card but in the end I left it sentiment less so I could write more.

Stampin' Up! Just Because Wildflower Designs Catalogue CASE

For this weeks blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, Balmy Blue.
If you remember, from previous years I like to work with the color coach Stampin' Up! provides to add a challenge to my card creations.

This week, I have chosen Balmy Blue, Granny Apple Green & Flirty Flamgino from the colour coach to work with. 

For my card today, I turned to the annual catalogue for inspiration and CASED my card from there. I have just received the wildflower designs bundle as I ordered it with the 10% off stamps and die bundle promotion in June. I couldn't resist adding a new bundle with an added discount on top of the usual 10% saving. 


First up, you will see the card I have CASED before you see my version. The cards shown below is from the 2024 - 2024 annual catalogue, page 40 ©2024 Stampin' Up!®.


I'm CASING the Moody Mauve DSP card on the right hand side. Instead of using the Wildly Flowering DSP, I created my own DSP using the Wildflower Designs stamp set and Balmy Blue cardstock, colouring in each stamped flower with dark Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends. I also changed up the sentiment as I hadn't used the Just Because sentiment from Softly Said and I wanted to give it a go.
I stamped all the flowers in memento ink and coloured them in with Stampin' Blends and they are all adhered behind the sentiment I popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals. I added in the soft black splatters as I had an oops on my card and I wanted to hide the black ink splat in the bottom right hand corner a little more. I finished off the card with rhinestone basic jewels. 
I left the of the card quite plain as it is a just because card and I felt that is what was needed.
I also tried to decorate the envelope to match the theme of the card.

Stampin' Up! Wanted to Say Candle Birthday Card

Hi and welcome to another round of the colour creations blog hop. 
For this weeks blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, basic beige.
If you remember, from previous years I like to work with the color coach Stampin' Up! provides to add a challenge to my card creations.
This week, I have chosen basic beige, fresh freesia and calypso coral from the colour coach to work with. 

I made a 50th birthday card for my SIL on the weekend and it inspired today's card. When I was working out the spacing with cardstock scraps I had 9 pieces of cardstock and one odd coloured and I thought it would work perfectly for one of the Basic Beige colour combinations. I found that the Dandy Designs DSP (you can find it on the clearance rack) had the best patterns for my candles in the colours I was working with. I've used the Petal Park punch for the candle flame and I inked the edges of everything with coordinating inkpads. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from Wanted to Say dies and I raised it up with Stampin' Dimensionals. I finished off the card with Rhinestone Basic Jewels.  The only stamping on the card is the word "celebrate" inside the card (from Softly Said stamp set).

Stampin' Up! 50 Candle Birthday Card with Bright and Beautiful DSP

My SIL turned 50 on the weekend and I couldn't help but make her a card that had 50 candles inside the card. The candles are mainly made from Bright & Beautiful DSP with a few other DSP's thrown in, Unbounded Beauty, Lily Pond Lane and Dandy Designs (which can be found on the clearance rack) plus a retired sale-a-bration DSP gold and silver speciality paper from 2022. 

I don't love the design on the card front (I was racing against the clock to get it finished before dinner and photographed before the daylight disappeared) but I love what I did on the inside. The inside took the bulk of my time for this card which is unusual, usually the card front takes longer. I used a retired set of dies, large number framelits for the 50 numbers as I needed something big and bold to fill in the space on the middle of the card. The edge for the card is leftover "candles". 


I used the petal park punch for the flame on the candles and a 2 3/4" long strip of DSP that is 1/2" wide. 9 candles per "page" and 5 on the remaining section. I also staggered them slightly so they weren't all the same height in a line.

Stampin' Up! Trusty Tools Painters Theme Birthday Card

This week, I have chosen shy shamrock, misty moonlight and pecan pie from the colour coach to work with. 

I have created a painting themed birthday card using the brush from trusty tools. I used this brush to make a tone on tone background in Shy Shamrock and have it mimic the painting of the watercolored strip in Misty Moonlight ink. I also tried to create a "painted" Happy Birthday from Wanted to Say dies in which I used the Shy Shamrock Stampin' Up! Blends. I found this colour combination very challenging this week and my card went through many changes before I settled on its finished design I was happy with.

Stampin' Up! Garden Gate Split Card with Simply Zinnia Dies

For this week's blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, petunia pop, the second of the newest in colours.

This week, I have chosen petunia pop, daffodil delight and old olive from the colour coach to work with. 

I have used the Simply Zinnia Dies and the Simply Said stamp set on my Garden Gate Split Card. If you are going to make your own Gate Split Card, make sure to use Basic White Thick Cardstock for extra stability. I inked the edges of each piece of cardstock of all the die cuts for added depth and dimension. The rhinestone basic jewels were the perfect finishing touch I think.

Inside card - I made an extra flower (that mimicked the bottom flower as best as I could) and I tried to adhere it in the same place inside the card so it is hidden behind the gate when the card is closed

Stampin' Up! Simply Zinnia Dies Mother's Day Card

I celebrated Mother's Day with my mum yesterday and this is the card I made her. I hadn't actually used the Simply Zinnia Dies before I made this card but I loved playing with them. Watch out for more cards featuring the dies soon.

I embossed the background of the azure afternoon cardstock with the Zinnia 3D embossing folder and using a variety of the Simply Zinnia Dies with to create my card. The adhesive sheets made creating this card very easy as all my die cuts have the adhesive on the back. I inked the edges of all my die cuts for definition and the sentiment is from a kit called Sentimental Rose and on a die cut from Nested Essentials Dies

Stampin' Up! Attention Shoppers Cut and Flip Card

Hi, we are starting a new round of colour creations blog hops and I am trying to get back into the swing of my weekly colour creations cards again. 
For this weeks blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, peach pie.
If you remember, from previous years I like to work with the color coach Stampin' Up! provides to add a challenge to my card creations.


This week, I have chosen peach pie, calypso coral and misty moonlight from the colour coach to work with. 

I have created a cut and flip card, I cut a section off the front of the card and I rotated that cut off piece 90°and adhered it back in place onto the card as the panel the shopping trolley/cart sits on and also has a faux silk panel for texture. On the flap I adhered a piece of Peach Pie Unbounded Beauty DSP which matched really well with the calypso coral cardstock. To bring in more misty moonlight onto my card, I added in card flap under the shopping trolley/cart. It is also a great place to put a gift card once the card is fully opened up (if I choose at a later date). I did choose to leave my card with no sentiment, although a birthday sentiment would work great with this card but I feel leaving it blank means if you need to cheer someone one up, this card is perfect.
