Stampin' Up! Tea Bag ATC's with Whiskey Business Stamp Set

These are some ATC's I made a while back. I found this in my drafts but I figured it was still worth sharing. The background of the ATC's (the cinnamon cider panel) is covered with a tea bag. In the one on the left, I have used the faux silk technique and scrunched the tea bag up for added texture when adhering it where as when adhering the tea bag on the right I laid it down completely flat. I personally prefer the added texture but like seeing the contrast of the two next each other.

Stampin' Up! Pointillism ATC with Wildly Happy Stamp Set

Last month I took part in our team ATC swap and made some Pointillism ATC's. It was fun trying to work out what to use that I thought would be different to everyone else! All of us taking part, used completely different stamp sets and our ideas are so different from one and another. Some of us coloured inside the shape like I did, while others did the colour outside words/images.   


The bullet tip point on Stampin' Blends are perfect for the pointillism technique and made it very quick and easy to make these ATC's. I look forward to teaching a techniques class with this technique in the near future.

Stampin' Up! Plaid ATC featuring Peace & Joy stamp set and joy dies

One of our recent ATC's featured the plaid technique. It is not a technique I had played with much other than adding a few lines to the buffalo check background stamp (see my card here). For this technique, we had to create a plaid background from scratch. I used crumb cake cardstock, stamping' blends (just jade and real red), basic black stamping' write marker and a gold sharpie pen. I found the stamparatus grid background helpful in making sure my lines were straight etc. as per this Instagram tip. 
I used the Peace and Joy products from the August - December mini catalogue to finish my ATC's along with the pine tree punch (but it is from the annual catalogue). They are on the giant year end closeout list and the joy dies have already sold out. The peace and joy stamp set is still available at the discounted price of $24.80.

Stampin' Up! Water Stamping Technique ATC

For my latest ATC's we focused on the Water Stamping technique. It was again, a new technique for me and one I am looking forward to trying again. This time, I used the "Back on Your Feet" stamp set as my focal image with the "Dry Brush" stamp in the background for the water stamping. 
After blending my background cardstock (whisper white) with pacific point and bermuda bay inks, I stamped the dry brush stamp in water and onto my blended cardstock. Once my background was dry, I stamped the giraffe image in memento ink and stamped another giraffe on extra whisper white cardstock (to later colour in with stampin' blends and fussy cut out and overlay on top of my background image). I stamped the sentiment in versamark in and heat embossing in white stampin' emboss powder. I finished off my ATC with a whisper white matt and bermuda bay card base.

Stampin' Up! Faux Mother of Pearl ATC featuring Painted Poppies

I'm still taking part in a monthly or bi monthly ATC swap but I am terrible at photography my ATC creations and sharing this. The faux mother of pearl creation I am sharing today I made in July and received them back in August. It was a new technique for me and I enjoyed the challenge of it which is why I love taking part in the ATC swap.

I did the faux mother of pearl technique on the background piece (and coloured it with seaside spray and soft sea foam inks) and also used the faux mother of pearl technique on the poppy image and used poppy parade ink. I die cut the the poppy image and used stampin' dimensional to raise the image up. I coloured the rest of the poppy image with stampin' blends. I also raised the sentiment from Rooted in Nature with stampin' dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Outlined Stencilling Technique ATC

For our ATC swap in March the theme was "outlined stencilling technique". As I did with February ATC's, I once again choose to use a colour combination from the Stampin' Up! colour coach or at least I thought I was going to... when I went to write this post up I realised I used melon mambo and not lovely lipstick as the graphic shows! Whoops! I guess they were interchangeable at my desk at the time 😂
I went with lovely lipstick melon mambo, pineapple punch and basic gray for my colour combination. I have used lovely lipstick, pineapple punch and basic gray before here (because I seem to only use one of the three combinations off one card and use them again and again!)


I heat embossed the perfume bottle and the sentiment to allow it to stand out (and pop) from my stencilled background.

Stampin' Up! Tissue Paper Watercolour Technique ATC

For our ATC swap in February the theme was "tissue paper watercolour technique". I choose to use a colour combination from the Stampin' Up! colour coach, as I always find it inspiring when I am stuck!


I went with the highland heather, melon mambo and pumpkin pie colour combination. I have used it before here as well.


The texture this technique give is amazing, I can't wait to give it a go on a full sized card. My MIL gave my a bunch of old sewing patterns that I am itching to have a play with as well.

Try it Thursday #22 - Shaving Cream Galaxy Technique mixed with Faux Fabric ATCs

A fellow Aussie Stampin' Up! demonstrator (and her husband), came up with this shaving cream galaxy technique by accident. I am so glad they did as it looks amazing. When I gave it a go, prior to making my many imprints, I was trying to quickly pass the time so I could finish playing with the technique. Of course, I had all these wonderful samples as I wasn't sure what to do with them at first. Little by little, I have been using them on cards and ATC's.

I started writing this post a long time ago and made my initial batch of samples back when dapper denim was an in colour (2016 - 2018) and have since made a new batch of samples featuring balmy blue and blueberry bushel. I used them on the background of my faux fabric ATC's. I've used the subtle 3D embossing folder for the faux fabric look (so it is a little hard to see) but it gives a fabulous texture.
