Chain mail card swap - Stampin' Up! Birthday Card with Thoughtful Expressions Stamp Set & Full of Life DSP

For the past few months, I have been taking part in what has been known as a chain mail card swap with fellow Aussie SU demos, although I do have a terrible habit of calling it a Chinese Whispers card swap.  (Do you remember, the game Chinese Whispers you played as a child? The message never quite came out the same at the end as it started?) Well, cards in the chain mail swap can end up that way as well.
The first card in each blog hop is an original card and then it is posted to the next person on the list and they create their card, CASEing (Copy And Selectively Edit) the card they were mailed and post it onto the next person on the list and it continues on and on through the list. I've loved this challenge CASEing the cards every two weeks they arrived in my mailbox and am sad this round is over. 

For our next blog hop, we are starting with Annette's card. This was a new fold for me, one I had never made before, nor do I know the name of it. If you do, please enlighten me.

Stampin' Up! Birthday Card with Blackout Reverse Embossing Technique featuring Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder and Stampin' Blends

Hi and welcome to another round of the colour creations blog hop. 
For this week's blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, Daffodil Delight.
If you remember, from previous years I like to work with the color coach Stampin' Up! provides to add a challenge to my card creations. This week, I have chosen daffodil delight, lost lagoon and calypso coral from the colour coach to work with. 

I have created a card using blackout reverse embossing using the Layered Florals 3D embossing folder and Stampin' Blends. I love how the black background makes the coloured images pop. It is quite a simple technique that I found on Facebook here by Bree Renwick from the Artisan Design Team.

For our next blog hop, we are starting with Tracy's card. I love the simple fold of Tracy's card with the DSP peeking through on the right hand side. It is another of my favourite cards I made and I am not a huge fan of the lemon DSP!

For our next blog hop, we are starting with Sharni's card. I love when I can manage to create a masculine card as I often find them harder to make and subconsciously am drawn to creating feminine cards more frequently, so this was a great design for me.

Stampin' Up! Cheerful Daisies Birthday Card with Softly Said Stamp Set

Hi and welcome to another round of the colour creations blog hop. 
For this week's blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, crushed curry.
If you remember, from previous years I like to work with the color coach Stampin' Up! provides to add a challenge to my card creations.
This week, I have chosen crushed curry, cajun craze and pretty peacock from the colour coach to work with.

I made a birthday card featuring Cheerful Daisies stamp set and dies. I die cut out a few large daisies and created a tone on tone background. I stamped two daisies in Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze inks and adhered them onto a circle from Everyday Details Dies. The sentiment is heat embossed (from Softly Said stamp set) in white embossing powder onto a strip of Pretty Peacock cardstock and the card is finished off with Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

The message never quite came out the same at the end as it started?) Well, cards in the chain mail swap can end up that way as well.
The first card in each blog hop is an original card and then it is posted to the next person on the list and they create their card, CASEing (Copy And Selectively Edit) the card they were mailed and post it onto the next person on the list and it continues on and on through the list. I've loved this challenge CASEing the cards every two weeks they arrived in my mailbox and am sad this round is over. 

For our next blog hop, we are starting with my card. I am one of those strange people who find fussy cutting relaxing so I fussy cut a few flowers from Flowering Zinnia DSP and created a focal point on the centre on of my card.
The card I received back at the end was certainly a bit different from the one I sent off but the colours were pretty close to the starting point!

I love Nancy's starting card (which of course I have only recently seen) but when I received my card from Genna I couldn't help myself, I had to rotate the card 90°to work for me. The bright fun colours in the Bright & Beautiful DSP work amazing for a shopping trolley/cart full of purchases don't you think?

Stampin' Up! Cutest Cows Birthday Card with Wobbles Springs

Hi and welcome to another round of the colour creations blog hop. 
For this week's blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, Crumb Cake.
If you remember, from previous years I like to work with the color coach Stampin' Up! provides to add a challenge to my card creations.
This week, I have chosen crumb cake, azure afternoon and copper clay from the colour coach to work with (plus I've thrown in a few other colours, 😉). 
I've made a birthday card featuring cutest cows stamp set with perennial postal dies. My cow has an action wobbles spring under its head and when you move it, it's wiggles and wobbles. I did a quick video to show you. 



I'm giving this card to my Grandmother to give out to hand out to family members. She mentioned that she didn't have a lot of cards for young children and not an age group I make many cards for. My grandmother's great grandchildren range from 1 - 21 so it's a decent age span. I hope the action wobble spring amuses someone, parents at least!

For our next blog hop, we are starting with Monique's card. It's a great classic design that works with so many papers/stamp sets etc. I mixed Cheerful Daisies stamp set with Wildly Flowering DSP for my card.
