Hi and welcome to another round of the colour creations blog hop.
For this weeks blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, cajun craze
If you remember, from previous years I like to work with the color coach Stampin' Up! provides to add a challenge to my card creations.
This week, I have chosen cajun craze, misty moonlight and early espresso from the colour coach to work with.
For my card today I have used the herringbone technique with cardstock strips in the three colours. I have used delightfully eclectic DSP, made my own cajun craze DSP (distressed glue technique) and I have used embossed strips of early espresso cardstock with the twisted rope 3D embossing folder. I did however flatten the early espresso cardstock after the embossing so it wasn't raised compared to the other papers I used, (I wanted the texture on the paper so it wasn't "plain").
I feel this colour combination and pattern makes a great male card which I always need in my card stash.

What a great card and a really interesting technique to get your Cajun Craze element! I am not sure I have done that one! Love the herringbone design too! Fantastic card Ros!

Really eye-catching mix of colours, patterns and textures, Ros. Cajun Craze is a great colour for masculine cards, and this is a very cool card to have in your stash.

I love how you've made your own Cajun Craze DSP using the distressed glue technique, Ros, and added the embossed details too. This is such a striking masculine card!

What a great colour combo and way to feature Cajun Craze Ros. Great idea to emboss the Early Espresso card instead of leaving it plain.

You have worked really hard to achieve a great looking male card. You’re spot on, deciding to emboss the Early Expresso, I think it provides more interest than leaving it plain.

This card is absolutely brilliant for a masculine card. I love the bold design and the herringbone look with those DSP strips. Love the embossed Early Espresso strips too!
