Hi and welcome to another round of the colour creations blog hop.
For this weeks blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, blueberry bushel.
If you remember, from previous years I like to work with the color coach Stampin' Up! provides to add a challenge to my card creations.
This week, I have chosen blueberry bushel, granny apple green and real red from the colour coach to work with.
My original plan was to use blueberry bushel inkpad and a stamp set I haven't given a lot of love to but after opening my inkpad and discovering it was very juicy I changed my plans. These are my hands after cleaning my ink pad up.
I opted for a simpler card design that required less stamping with a very juicy inkpad.
I made a triple point card with embossed panels using the timeworn type 3D embossing folder which are then matted in Granny Apple Green cardstock. The happy birthday sentiment is from the Wanted to Say dies and is mounted on a basic white Something Fancy die cut. Lots of dimensionals were used to raise up the Happy Birthday die, the Something Fancy die and also the cross point of the triple point card. I finished the card front off with a few basic rhinestones.
The blueberry bushel carsdtock inside the card is stamped with blueberry bushel ink for a tone on tone look using the "book spiral crayon rubbing" stamp from Gorgeously Made stamp set. I didn't stamp any sentiments inside the card to leave as much room as possible for writing a birthday message.

What a great card Ros with a fabulous colour combo. Your choice of stampin on the inside of the card is perfect.

This doesn't look like a "simpler card design" to me, Ros! Very elaborate, funky, fun fold - very cool.

Fantastic triple point card Ros! Love the vibrant colours. That gorgeously made stamp is very versatile! Hope your hands are not too smurf like still!

Ros you have created a striking card using the bright and regal colour combo. I like how the embossed panels add texture to your card. Totally relate to the juicy Blueberry Bushel ink pad as mine was exactly the same!

This is such a great colour combo, and the pops of Granny Apple Green are fabulous against the blue.

A great pop of colour with this one, Ros. We can always trust you with bold colours and your sponged edges. This is a great design and love the embossed texture!

A fabulous fun-fold that shows off that equally fabulous sentiment, Ros. Love the bright fun colours! How could you fail to have a 'Happy Birthday' after receiving this great card.

A wonderful card Ros. I love your fun fold with the range of details added - the embossing, the blended edges and your die cut sentiment. (Hopefully your fingers have returned to their original shade - isn’t blue the worst for staining ones skin.)
