June Stampin' Up! Techniques Class - Pocket Front Cards

After a month off for my hysterectomy I resumed classes again in June (I had just been terrible at blogging the finished cards this year so far!) The technique for June's classes is Pocket Front cards and with the DSP special I made sure to use some DSP on the cards as well. I used the Delightfully Eclectic DSP on both of my cards as it has 24 different patterns on 48 sheets of paper! A great choice for card class!

Each class everyone makes two cards and every card is decorated on the front, inside and the envelope as well so you end up with a truly completed card.

Stampin' Up! Birthday Card with Cheerful Daisies Bundle

Hi and welcome to another round of the colour creations blog hop. 
For this weeks blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, Pecan Pie.
If you remember, from previous years I like to work with the color coach Stampin' Up! provides to add a challenge to my card creations. 
This week, I have chosen pecan pie, pumpkin pie and pretty peacock from the colour coach to work with. 


I tried to use DSP like I have on the other 3 cards this month with the DSP sale still on for a few more days but it just wasn't coming together for me. So here is your reminder, there is 13 packs of DSP are on sale for 15% off this month and it ends on Friday June 30th.

Onto today's card, I decided to create a brick wall embossed background with daisies on it. When I went to create my card I discovered my 3D embossing folder had retired last catalogue and I need to order the new exposed brick 3D embossing folder (Opps! Guess what is on my next order!) I have used the older folder for the card today as it was the idea I had in my head and there was nothing shaking it. I die cut the daisies in pumpkin pie (and in early espresso for the tiny dots) and adhered them onto pretty peacock stems and leaves. The sentiment was stamped in pretty peacock and I layered the sentiment on three labels for some added height for something different. 


The envelope - has a large daisy with leaves tucked behind the flower


Inside card - I stamped Happy Birthday from artistically inked and added two more daisies with one of them raised up with stamping dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Birthday Card with Zoo Crew DSP & Biggest Wish Stamp Set

For this weeks blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, Lemon Lolly.
If you remember, from previous years I like to work with the color coach Stampin' Up! provides to add a challenge to my card creations.

This week, I have chosen lemon lolly, soft sea foam and pool party from the colour coach to work with.

This week, I have used the Zoo Crew DSP and cut strips of cardstock to create a background. I have also used a die from something fancy dies to stamp my Happy Birthday sentiment on and has fussy cut a bear image from the Zoo Crew DSP. I used a retired piece of white seam binding ribbon that I coloured with a soft sea foam marker to add some colour to it. 


With envelope - I fussy cut another image for the envelope from there DSP

Stampin' Up! Pocket Front Bubble Bath Card with Wanted to Say dies

Hi and welcome to another round of the colour creations blog hop. 
For this weeks blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, bubble bath. 
If you remember, from previous years I like to work with the color coach Stampin' Up! provides to add a challenge to my card creations.

This week, I have chosen bubble bath, pretty peacock and pool party from the colour coach to work with.

This week, I have used the delightfully eclectic 12" x 12" DSP and I love that I could purchase it for $45.05 AUD (and get demonstrator discount on top of that!) instead of paying $53.00 AUD! 
I have created a pocket front card for my nieces birthday which will be great for stashing money in, a gift card, a note or a scratchie. I have also used the wanted to say dies and have cut my die cut in half to create a long die cut. I love that is makes it more versatile and created a whole new look. I finished off the card with circle die cuts and the numbers 1 & 6 in silver foil for some bling and also used some basic rhinestone jewels.

Stampin' Up! Construction Zone Azure Afternoon Thinking of You Card

Hi and after a long hiatus I am trying to get back into the groove of blog hoping with the colour creations blog hop. 
For this weeks blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, azure afternoon. 
If you remember, from previous years I like to work with the color coach Stampin' Up! provides to add a challenge to my card creations.

This week, I have chosen azure afternoon, daffodil delight and pumpkin pie to create my card.


Knowing that 13 packs of DSP are on sale for 15% off this month, I wanted to try and use some of the DSP's that are on special on my card. I ended up using papers from two different packs. The azure afternoon DSP is from Bright and Beautiful DSP and the orange dots DSP (originally was white) is from Zoo Crew DSP. I used a blending brush and pumpkin pie ink to colour the white DSP to create the pumpkin pie coloured DSP. 

I also used construction zone stamp set for my card and created a peek a boo side flap to show some more of the DSP. This card is great for someone who you think needs some cheering up but this stamp set would make some great construction cards. I used a "dots" image from quiet meadow to create a dirt pattern on crumb cake for under my crane. I tore my crumb cake cardstock to try and create a more realistic dirt. I fussy card around part of the stamped image so that I could fit the rest of the crane in the die cut. The stamped images are coloured in with stampin' blends and both the sentiment and crane are raised up with dimensionals.

June Stampin News

Hey! It's June first and winter already. I don't like the cold but hey my heated blanket help keep me warm. Great for when I am crafting crafting at my desk. Not that there has been much of that lately. If you don't know, I had had hysterectomy late April and recovery has been slower than I imagined.
