Hi and welcome to another round of the colour creations blog hop.
For this weeks blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, Crumb Cake.
If you remember, from previous years I like to work with the color coach Stampin' Up! provides to add a challenge to my card creations.
This week, I have chosen crumb cake, calypso coral and granny apple green from the colour coach to work with.
For my card this week, I have chosen to create a background using old sewing patterns with the faux silk technique. An old favourite of mine for a textured background as the words in the sewing pattern also provides visual interests. I stamped and die cut 2 rose images along with 2 leaf images and the trio of flowers. I fussy cut away some of the details from one of the roses to suit the look I was going for. All die cut images where coloured in with a variety of Stampin' Blends markers. All images for the card, both the card front and inside the card are from the one stamp set, cottage rose.
With envelope - I tried something new by colouring on the envelope with Stampin' Blends. As long as you have a piece of card inside the envelope it won't blend through to the other side.
Inside card
Up next we have Kathryn Ruddick. I can't wait to see what she is sharing.

Great idea for the background, Ros. I really like that the sentiment is also toned in with the Crumb Cake background, while the coloured flowers really pop.

What an amazing background your the faux silk technique gives to your gorgeous flowers, Ros, and thank you for the tip on how to colour on the envelope with Stampin' Blends without any bleeding.

Ros I love the faux silk technique done with dress pattern tissue. It really does add so much interest and texture to the background of your card. Your flowers are beautifully coloured as well. A lovely card.
