Hi and welcome to another round of the colour creations blog hop.
For this weeks blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, Basic Gray
If you remember, from previous years I like to work with the color coach Stampin' Up! provides to add a challenge to my card creations.
This week, I have chosen Basic Gray, balmy blue and mango melody from the colour coach to work with.
Using the fabulous butterfly brilliance background stamp, I stamped basic gray cardstock with basic grey ink to create a subtle yet elegant background. I embellished the background with a balmy blue hexagon from beautiful shapes dies and finished the focal point off with a layered butterfly from brilliant wings dies. My sentiment is from cottage rose stamp set and die cut with stitched rectangle dies. The sparkling gems are new and from the upcoming July - December mini catalogue called fine sparkle gems.

Inside the card I stamped a sentiment from hello beautiful stamp set and placed a small butterfly die cut to carry it from the card frontThe envelope is decorated with butterfly brilliance background stamp
Up next we have Kathryn Ruddick. I can't wait to see what she is sharing.

Another stunning colour combination Ros, I love the hexagon behind the butterfly, highlights the butterfly perfectly.

You've really showcased Basic Gray so well, Ros – the butterflies pop so well against it! Gorgeous card!

Your card looks fantastic! I'm usually too lazy to sponge around the edges of stuff, but I absolutely love the effect it adds to the butterflies. I will have to stop being so lazy!

What a great design and different colour combination, love it. The hexagon is a nice change up to a square or circle behind the feature butterfly too!
