Stampin' Up! Sweet Sorbet Butterflies and Flowers Layering Decorative Masks Birthday Card

Hi and welcome to another round of the colour creations blog hop. 
For this weeks blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, Sweet Sorbet.
If you remember, from previous years I like to work with the color coach Stampin' Up! provides to add a challenge to my card creations.


This week, I have chosen sweet sorbet, blushing bride and pool party from the colour coach to work with. 
I have also used the butterflies and flowers layering decorative masks from the January - June mini catalogue along with the blending brushes which make using the decorative masks a dream to use. I have used three of the six masks in the pack, two to create the layered floral design and a third to decorate the pool party cardstock. I die cut my floral decorative mask with the stitched rectangle dies and added the opal rounds for some bling. I stamped the "happy birthday" sentiment from Shaded Summer stamp set and masked the happy (and then re-stamped it) so I could stamp it in the centre of the word birthday image (and for it to fit neatly in the double oval punch). I also tied a double bow with the linen thread to finish off the card. 
Inside the card the sentiment is from nature's prints and I used the masks to create a very mini scene in the corner.

Stampin' Up! Artfully Layered Hello Card with Starry Sky Color Coach

Hi and welcome to another round of the colour creations blog hop. 
For this weeks blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, Starry Sky.
If you remember, from previous years I like to work with the color coach Stampin' Up! provides to add a challenge to my card creations.


This week, I have chosen Starry Sky, Bermuda Bay and Mango Melody from the colour coach to work with. 

For my card today I have CASED a card from Shelli Gardner's blog, So Shelli, shown below.


I loved the layering with the artfully layered stamp set and the die on top (of all the stamped images) and the colours used were not dissimilar from what I had chosen.


I made two different versions of the card reversing the mango melody/starry sky leaf image colours. I did stamp off the starry sky leaf image to make it a little lighter. The bermuda bay strip of cardstock is the drybrush background stamp stamped with bermuda bay ink and the white portion of the cardstock lightly blended with bermuda bay on a blending brush. I have used the hello stamp from biggest wish stamp set for the sentiment. Basic rhinestone jewels were the finishing touch for the card.

Stampin' Up! Parakeet Party Corner Flip No Occasion Card

Hi and welcome to another round of the colour creations blog hop. It's been a while for me so I am excited to be back creating these lovely ladies. 
For this weeks blog hop, we are focusing on the colour, Parakeet Party. 
If you remember, from previous years I like to work with the color coach Stampin' Up! provides to add a challenge to my card creations.
This week, I have chosen parakeet party, coastal cabana and poppy parade from the colour coach to work with.

For my card today, I have created a corner fold card and used the lovely summer shadows dies for the large bold floral images (and the small coastal cabana flower inside the card). I have used the inlaid embossing on the large flowers and also left some with just the outline image. I've also used the stitched greenery die to create the parakeet party background. Basic rhinestone jewels helped complete the card. I have left the card with no sentiment both on the front and the inside so it can be used for any occasion.

Stampin' Up! WV Fold Mother's Day Card with Hues of Happiness DSP

A bit late posting this, but couldn't I post it before Sunday because I wanted to make sure Mum got the card first!
For Mother's Day, I made my mum a WV fold card. I had never made one of these before but they are surprisingly quick and easy. A great way to showcase stunning DSP as well! 
I've used the Hues of Happiness DSP and typed my sentiments as with the new catalogue, I apparently don't own a Mother's Day stamp!
