Our fiftieth colour we are focusing on for the colour collections blog hop is "soft suede" from the neutrals collection. I have chosen soft suede, blushing bride and rich razzleberry from the colour coach to work with today for my creation. Today, I have two cards to share with you.
Card #1, I made first but I thought I had a lot of "white space" I looked for ways to change in card #2.
I cut the "bricks" using a die from brilliant wings dies and stamped that "splats" in soft suede from quiet meadow stamp set. The larger two butterflies are stamped in memento and coloured in with the blushing bride stampin' write markers. The smaller butterfly is die cut in blushing bride cardstock with the edges inked in blushing bride ink and sponge dauber. The very vanilla card is matted with soft suede cardstock and layered on a rich razzleberry card and champagne rhinestone jewels for a finishing touch.
Card #2, is identical to card #1 only it has a soft suede background with a crumb cake matt. I personally prefer the colouring of card #2. Maybe the warmth of the soft suede, I'm not really sure its that is just has "less white space" in my opinion.
Card #1
Card #2
With decorated envelope
Inside card - both cards are exactly the same on the inside. More stamping "splats" from quiet meadow on this time in Sahara sand.

Both your cards look beautiful Ros but I do think I agree with you regarding the second card, it is my favourite too. Thank you so much for all of your participation in the Colour Creations Showcase over the past 12 months.

They are both lovely cards, Ros, but I prefer the warmth of the second card, too. Great use of colour, and colouring.

Such lovely cards Ros. Love all your details - the splatters, and the die cut bricks with the butterflies. Gorgeous. Xxx

Lovely cards, Ros and I agree, I like card #2 a little more with the darker tones. Great layout too.

The design of your pair of cards is lovely, Ros. I do agree that the second one is warmer, though. great use of dies and stamps on the backgrounds.
