Our thirtieth colour we are focusing on for the colour collections blog hop is night of navy from the neutrals collection. I have chosen night of navy, rich razzleberry and coastal cabana from the colour coach to work with today for my creation.
For my card today, I decided to create a striped background with my trio of colours from the colour coach and focus on gold and white elements to not distract from the busyness of the background.
To create a quick and easy stripe background, use the adhesive sheets and pre cut all your strips ahead of time. I needed 8 of each colour and had excess to cut off! My strips are 1/4" wide which is approx. 6mm.
I die cut the letters H and B from my electronic die cutting machine and popped them up using foam adhesive tape. I stamped happy birthday in black staz on on the gold foil and punched it out using the classic label punch and also popped it up with foam adhesive tape. I finished off the card with night of navy faux resin dots.
Inside card - I used more of the excess striped background and another ballon plus another stamp from itty bitty birthdays stamp set
Catherine is hosting the colour creations blog hop each week and she has links for all the other ladies participating.
Here is my card from 2018.

Wow! Fantastic card, Ros! I'm a little disappointed I didn't guess the colour combination you'd use, but I can get over it, because what you've come up with is amazing.

Your card is so cool, Ros! It would be perfect for a teenager. The gold accents look wonderful, and I love how the balloon and string peeks out from behind the H.
