Our sixteenth colour we are focusing on for the colour collections blog hop is "flirty flamingo" from the brights collection. I have chosen flirty flamingo, gorgeous grape and night of navy from the colour coach to work with today for my creation.
Here is my flirty flamingo card from 2018.
For my card today I have tried a new take on the scrappy strip technique, (it's really a step up from that) called the mosaic technique. You cut angled strips of cardstock and adhere them across your cardstock horizontally and then cut your cardstock in thin strips. I'd love to make you a video of the technique but you will have to make do with my terrible description as I currently have no voice. Here's a scrappy strip card I have made previously if you need a visual of the technique.
I added in some gold foil cardstock as I wanted a lighter colour to go with my trio colour palette and I liked the pop the gold foil gave. I heat embossed my sentiment in gold stampin' emboss powder to tie it back into the card and filled in some blank space with my faux resin dots.

Inside card - I used sponge daubers and inkpads to give the multi coloured birthday sentiment
