Our eighth colour we are focusing on for the colour collections blog hop is "calypso coral" from the subtles collection. I have chosen calypso coral, crushed curry and bermuda bay from the colour coach to work with today for my creation.
Here is my card from 2018.
With my card today, I decided to create a shaker card as the colours calypso coral, crushed curry and bermuda bay, all together scream bright, fun and happy! I created a smoshed inked background and layered a single cardstock candle on top if it. I masked two different stamps from well said stamp set to create the "make a" sentiment (shown in the image below) and I also trimmed the end off wishes from well written dies to create the word "wish".
To create the candle, I also used the well written dies but used the negative portion (again shown below).

Your smooshed background looks amazing! I am always too impatient to do multiple colours and end up with a muddy mess, so I am completely in awe of yours. Fabulous card!

That background is very cool Ros, what a great card. I love the freshness and also the simplicity of just having the one feature candle.

You've made such a delicious smooshed background on the card Ros, and then the inside is trimmed with more, lovely.

Such a fun, bright and happy card Ros. I love the ink "smooshing" effect and the clever use of the Well Written dies to create the candle flame.

A very different style of card with the abstract background, but it really works well with the colours.
