Our seventh colour we are focusing on for the colour collections blog hop is "cajun craze" from the regals collection. I have chosen cajun craze, calypso coral and soft sea foam from the colour coach to work with today for my creation. I also added in misty moonlight and old olive as I needed some extra colours to complete the outfits.
Here is my cajun craze card from 2018.
I often struggle to work with regal colours and cajun craze is one of the I rarely use (along with blackberry bliss like I mentioned here!) For my card today, I turned to the annual catalogue for inspiration as it is a great source for ideas as well as a catalogue and CASED my card from there. First up, you will see the card I have CASED before you see my version. The card shown below is from the 2020 - 2021 annual catalogue, page 106 ©2020 Stampin' Up!®.
As you can see, all I did was switch up some of the colours on the stamped image and change out the background on the base card! A total CASED card. I coloured my image with basic colouring with the Stampin' Blends. I also used the faux suede technique for the background of my card base. The old world paper 3D embossing folder would also give you a great texture background but alas, it is not yet in my stash.
Close up of the card front - I masked the male image to stamp the lady with her hand behind him and I also masked both images to colour my background with sponges. It is a little hard to see in the photo but I have used fine tip glue pen on the ladies glasses for an added shine.

This is a super fun card, Ros. Your colouring is not basic, it's fantastic and I love the added fine tip glue for the shiny glasses, very cool!
