Our third colour we are focusing on for the colour collections blog hop is "Bermuda Bay" from the brights collection. I have chosen bermuda bay, rich razzleberry and crushed curry from the colour coach to work with today for my creation.
Here is my bermuda bay card from 2018.
For today's card, I die cut the best plaid builder dies to create my background and used a die cut number from my electronic die cut machine to create a focal point. If you don't have a large enough number die (or electronic die cut machine) you can print your own number in a word processing program and hand cut your own number out of cardstock. I popped the number 3 up on dimensionals for a 3D effect (but it is almost impossible to tell from my photo!) I also used a sequin offcut as the stencil for the pattern on the number 3 (more details on that below).
Close up of the card front and you can see where I popped the 3 up on dimensionals for the 3D effect
Inside card - I again used the number 3 and also added a sentiment from the Happiest of Birthdays stamp set
To get the dots on my number 3 cardstock, I used a negative piece of sequin offset and a sponge dauber. Much the same way as I would use a stencil or mask.

The stencilling is very cool. Ros. I love the sponging you've done on the Rich Razzleberry layer too - it adds to the dimension beautifully.

Love that huge number 3, Ros, and the stamping on it with the sequin backing is very creative. Thanks for sharing such a cool trick!

Wow, Ros - this card is amazing! Such a great male card that you could recreate in any colour. Thank you so much for joining the AWH Colour Creations showcase to provide some Bermuda Bay colour inspiration xx

I love your card Ros. I love your colour palette and your large number three. I was so happy to see the plaid die in use. I have been contemplating putting it on my wishlist but wanted to see it in 'action' first. Thanks.

Great card Ros. Love your colour combo and your die cut background. The card size number 3 is amazing and very ingenious to use the sequin offcut to sponge the dots. X

What a great card Ros and a fantastic way to get the dots on the 3.

This is such a great idea! And I love how colourful your cards are - no monochromatic colour schemes here! But the colours contrast well, and especially go well with the plaid die cut - thanks for the inspiration!
