Our second colour we are focusing on for the colour collections blog hop is "Basic Gray" from the neutrals collection. I have chosen basic grey, pear pizzazz and poppy parade from the colour coach to work with today for my creation.
Here is my basic gray card from 2018.
I stamped my poppy petals with the "splat" stamp from painted poppies (in poppy parade) and I love the variation in colour it provides for the flowers. I fussy cut each petal as the splat wasn't large enough to fit more than one petal. I also used it for the flower buds. I used the beautiful stitched lace die to create my basic gray background and its the first time I've given it a go. I look forward to using it a lot more in the future. I used tear and tape behind all my die cut elements to adhere the stitched lace basic gray cardstock onto the whisper white cardstock and when that wasn't possible I used small dots of Tombo adhesive.

A lovely, vibrant card, Ros. The lacy Basic Gray background looks great with the depth of colour in your poppies. I love the inside of the card!
