I have used an old favourite technique tonight, triple layer stamping and the so hoppy together stamp set which is one available for free with a $90 purchase.
I have customised my so happy stamp to get more use out of it and save time when crafting so I don't have to mask parts of an image each time I want to stamp. I took a sharp craft knife and cut my stamp! I only cut the one stamp (the circled image shown below).

This is how my cut stamps look on my clear blocks yet I can put them back together to stamp as Stampin' Up intended them to be stamped if I need to.


Onto my triple layer stamping card. I adhered the three layers at slight angles for a fun playful look to mimic the playfulness of the frogs. I coloured in the frogs with stampin' blends and added in some extra "movement" at ground level with the dots image from timeless textures.

Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop - #36 Petal Pink

Our thirty sixth colour we are focusing on for the colour collections blog hop is petal pink from the subtles collection. I have chosen petal pink, soft suede and pear pizzazz from the color coach to work with today.


I used the colours today to create a soft looking sympathy card. It's often a card I find difficult to make and not one I stockpile and keep many in my stash of ready made cards. I again used my favourite bundle from the Occasions Catalogue, well said bundle (I am getting good milage from this bundle!)


I do like how changing the sentiment on this card can result in making cards for other occasions. I have made three different cards very quickly and with not a lot of extra effort.

Stampin' Up! Celebrate Your Day with Country Floral Embossing Folder Card

I am really enjoying playing with the country floral dynamic textured impressions embossing folder which is a free sale-a-bration product available with orders of $90+. Did you see the first card I shared a few days ago? I am loving the different looks I am managing to get out of the embossing folder. I have come up with 3 so far but I know it won't stop there. 

For today's card I used the technique called coloured dry embossing. You use markers either stampin' write markers or stampin' blends to colour over the raised portions of the embossed paper. Personally, I found it easier to use the stampin' write markers compared to the stampin' blends for this technique as the blends' bleeded further over the embossed portion of the cardstock than I wanted and I could that I had more control with the stampin' write markers. 


I added in some small details to finish off the card. These include a small strip of silver glimmer paper under the sentiment along with some silver metallic thread which I placed under the sentiment. The centre of the highland heather flowers have dots of fine tip glue pen for added shine. I also hand sewed some glass seed beads on in the middle of the pool party flowers (because I am crazy like that and I find it oddly soothing) and my favourite basic rhinestone jewels were too large to use!

Stampin' Up! Third Birthday Card Featuring Family & Friends Stamp Set

One of my nephews, (Levi) turned 3 last week and used a trio of products from the Occasions catalogue to make his card. I used the fabulous family & friends stamp set and stamped a mini version of Levi for his card. Isn't it the cutest?
