Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop - #33 Old Olive

Our thirty third colour we are focusing on for the colour collections blog hop is old olive from the regals collection. I have chosen old olive, flirty flamingo and poppy parade from the color coach to work with today with a background of balmy blue added in as well.


I have focused on using the incredible like you stamp set for my card with some die cut shapes and fussy cutting as well. The inspiration for today's card came from the Occasions Catalogue on page 21 (showing what the incredible like you kit cards look like when made up.) 



For the inside of the card I used another one of the flowers and die cut leaves and also stamped the sentiment "celebrate your day" from the FREE sale-a-bration stamp set hello cupcake.

Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalogue Blog Hop

Above, you may have noticed that I briefly mentioned sale-a-bration before. If you happen to be my mum reading this post, please forgot come mothers day that you have seen this card and act surprised in May! For the moment, be happy that I am super prepared and organised and have made your you card in January!

I have made a floating pop up card in a box card featuring the fabulous new butterfly beauty thinlet dies. The butterfly beauty die is a two step layering die and actually cuts out a much larger butterfly than what I have used (I have just cut away the excess with my paper snips). The largest butterfly is 9.8 x 13cm and the thinlet dies come with 20 dies!


I have also used the well said bundle (well said stamp set and well written framelit dies) for my happy mother's day sentiment. I love how these combined products, 51 stamps and 24 dies work so well together to create many sentiments and phrases for lots of different occasions. I have used them on many cards already and they will be getting a lot more use during the occasions catalogue period.  


I die cut the "happy sentiment three times and layered each one on top of each other to make the word appear bolder and stand out more.


I made my own cloud background panel using the big shot and up & away thinlet dies (and the multi purpose adhesive sheets made sticking the clouds down simple!)


I finished off the back off the card with basic stamping (again from the well said stamp set) and some fussy cutting from the botanical butterfly designer series paper to match the card front.

Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop - #32 Night of Navy

Our thirty second colour we are focusing on for the colour collections blog hop is night of navy from the neutrals collection. I have chosen night of navy, calypso coral and mango melody from the color coach to work with today.


With my selected colours from the colour coach and garden impressions 6" x 6" designer series paper I made a bargello panel. I was testing out a design for an ATC swap I was making with fellow demonstrators and didn't want my design to go to waste (hence the panel on this card). I'll blog the ATC's in a week or so when I receive them back. A quick frame with the new rectangle stitched framelits from the Occasions Catalogue and the card was very quick to come together after I had made the bargello panel. Have you made a bargello panel before?


For the inside of the card I used the remaining portion of the panel I had left over and die cut out a flower from the may flowers framelits and finished it off with a basic rhinestone jewel. I have intentionally left the inside of the card very basic, so it can be used for any occasion.

Stampin' Up! Die Cut Engagement Card

My cousin recently got engaged and what kind of card maker would I be if I didn't send her a card?

This card, unusually features no stamping but a lot of die cutting! I've used eclectic layers, sunshine wishes and swirly scribbles thinlits dies to create the card but boy it is an elegant card I think. Obviously, it wouldn't take much to make this into a wedding card either.

Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop - #31 Mossy Meadow

Our thirty first colour we are focusing on for the colour collections blog hop is mossy meadow from the neutrals collection. I have chosen colours from all over the color coach to work with today. I have used pear pizzaz and coastal cabana (both in the watercolored background), flirty flamingo, rich razzleberry, mango melody and mossy meadow all in the die cuts. It appears, the only colour from the colour coach I haven't used is so saffron! 


Like I mentioned last week, that the well written framelits from the occasions catalogue are a new favourite of mine and I couldn't help but use them again this week on my card. At this stage, I have left the inside of the card completely blank other than a flirty flamingo matt with a whisper white panel to write on. When I have worked out what occasion the card is being sent for I will finish the inside of the card. With the "hello friend" sentiment on the front of the card, the inside can be used for many different occasions I think. It could be for a birthday, a thinking of you, get well soon, miss you or a whole list of others I haven't even listed.

Stampin' Up! occasions catalogue card swap featuring Geared Up Garage bundle

To mark the beginning of the new occasions catalogue I joined with 8 fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators and we each made 9 cards and traded designed for our displays to share with customers and our teams. Here's my card:

 
I used one of my favourite techniques for the background which is similar to faux silk. I used the brown paper that comes with our Stampin' Up! orders and a glue stick and made a textured background. Isn't the texture it creates amazing? You can create a similar texture by using a brown paper lunch bag. Just make sure you scrunch it up into a ball first and flatten it out before adhering it to cardstock.

Colour creations blog hop is back after a break for the Christmas holidays. Our thirtieth colour we are focusing on for the colour collections blog hop is mint macaron from the subtles collection. I have chosen mint macaron, real red and pumpkin pie from the color coach to work with today.
