Stampin' Up! Pigment Sprinkles Techniques Class featuring Silhouette Scenes Bundle

Have you had a play with Stampin' Up! new pigment sprinkles yet in the Annual Catalogue? They are watercolour pigment crystals and when mixed with water make fun and amazing backgrounds. No one background is ever going to look the same! In July's technique's class, we had an amazing variety of different backgrounds created.

You can find the pigment sprinkles on page 179 of the Annual Catalogue, and they cost $40 and you get 6 fabulous colours to play with. I used 3 of the pigment sprinkles colours to create the background on this card (daffodil delight, mango melody and melon mambo) and I love the sunset look it has. The girl on the swing from silhouette scenes swinging on the tree swing makes me long for daylight savings and kids playing in the backyard after dinner.
Maybe I am wishing for that as it is cold and winter weather here in Melbourne, Victoria right now!  


I heat embossed the silhouette image but due to the texture of the watercolour paper it did take a couple of goes but by using the Stampartus, that made it simple to line up the image easily.

Stampin' Up! Simple Stamping Blog Hop

Have you ever seen the phrase "#simplestamping" ? Stampin' Up! have held monthly challenges on it for a while now and it is the focus of this months blog hop. I tried my best to do #simplestamping and do a beginners card or at least a beginners card I would teach at a workshop to new stampers. I aways have stampers stamp on a layer of whisper white cardstock so if there is any creative opps moments, there is always a second side to flip over to! 
I couldn't help myself and I added in some coloured cardstock as well on the card and some fussy cutting as beginner stampers can fussy cut! Everyone knows how to use scissors! I finished the card off with some dimensionals as old habits die hard!


Of course I couldn't stop at a beginners card (or like I said above, my version of a beginners card). I also made a stepped up version and used a die cut machine as well to complete my next card. I kept almost everything the same except added into a few more colours of cardstock and the die cut machine.

Stampin' Up! Pulled String Card featuring Broadway Birthday Stamp Set

Did you know when you take classic ink refills and bakers twine you can make some really fun cards with some old books! That is the technique I used to make this birthday card featuring broadway birthday stamp set. I think it is a really fun playful card that works for many different ages!

Here's another card I made using the calypso coral color coach.
I must like the calypso coral, crushed curry and bermuda bay colour combination as I used the same selection on this card despite the color coach having 3 different colouring combinations.

Stampin' Up! In Colour Blog Hop

On today's card, I had used 3 of the new in colours from the 2019 - 2021 in color range: rococo rose, seaside spray and terracotta tile.
I could have used purple posy for my daisies also but as I wanted a slightly darker colour I went with highland heather rather than the new in colour. 
I stamped and fussy cut the daises and the stems from daisy lane stamp stamp and laid them on a background stamped with birch background stamp (stamped in crumb cake on petal pink cardstock). I also raised some daisy images with stampin' dimensionals to make them appear in the foreground of the pot.
If I wanted to make this a sentiment-less card I could have easily by leaving the happy birthday sentiment off so it could have been used for various occasions (but I always need lots of birthday cards.)  


Inside the card, I echoed the daisy stamp from the card front in rococo rose and again raised it up with a stampin' dimensional. I also stamped a sentiment from painted glass in highland heather.

Stampin' Up! New Annual Catalogue Blog Hop

I have chosen to showcase the "It Starts With Art Bundle" for today's blog hop and I am only using the 'it starts with art' cling mount stamp set and arts and crafts dies and the follow your art designer series paper but there is much more in the product suite. I'd love to show you the inside of the catalogue right now, but I can't showcase that online just yet! 
When you get your catalogue this product suite can be found on page 53 and it includes what I have listed above and a stunning embossing folder called button button, an embellishment kit featuring felt accents, charms and more, the sweetest little mini shipping boxes and washi tape. There is a lot in this product suite I tell you! 

Here's a sneak peak of the embossing folder, the embellishment kit box along with some of the product on the outside of the box, the mini shipping boxes and the washi tape. These photos are all from the Demonstrator only event (OnStage) I attended in Auckland last month and some were taken on the big screen (hence the fingers in photos).


Moving on to my creation for the blog post. I made a z fold card that with stamped images that I coloured the with stampin' blends and filled in some blank spots with basic rhinestone jewels as it not only filled in the blank spots but it also echoed the sentiment.


I did not use a sentiment on the inside of the card, as I wanted to keep the card neutral for any occasion for a crafting friend.
