Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop - #26 Lovely Lipstick

Our twenty sixth colour we are focusing on for the colour collections blog hop is lovely lipstick from the 2018 - 2020 in color collection. I have chosen lovely lipstick, pineapple punch and basic grey from the color coach to work with today.
I've used the fun colour combination today to create a camera birthday card. Perfect for the selfie tween and teen birthdays my kids go to. The envelope punch board came in handy to create the base of my camera. I started with a piece of basic gray cardstock 12cm x 8cm (4 3/4" x 3 3/16") and the envelope punch board. I made a tab at the top by lining up the cardstock (the left hand side) 3.8cm (1 1/2") and punched (then I flipped the card over and repeated it on the other side to create an even tab.) Trim off the excess cardstock using paper trimmer and round the corners (if you wish). I added a strip of 5cm (2") wide designer series paper for added colour.

Art with Heart Sketch Blog Hop

This is the card sketch we are all using.You may have come to my blog from Sue Madex. Blog hops are full circles, so start blog hopping here and and at the end of my post (and everyone else's) there is a link to the next post.

Today I have a card using the sketch as featured above. I did "stretch" the sketch somewhat and changed the orientation of my card. The is my favourite thing about sketches, they are a fabulous starting point for you but a tweak here or there and you can change the look completely with a few minor changes.

I have used the amazing Joyous Noel speciality designer series paper and glimmer paper on my card today along with the Christmas Pines stamp set. I love the subtle copper in the designer series paper and how elegant it makes cards look. A few copper accents is all my card needed to be "complete" after the basic design of the card.


As I made a custom sized card (it measures 11.4cm x 16.5cm [4 1/2" x 6 1/2"]) I've whipped up an envelope on the envelope punch board. I added a piece of designer series paper on the back of the envelope to tie it into the card. This is also a great way to use up some of your designer series paper stash if you need help!

Stampin' Up! Heart of Christmas #15 2018

Welcome to our final week of Heart of Christmas blog hops for 2018. 15 weeks have gone by rather quickly haven't they? Like the past few weeks, I again have another Santa's Workshop card featuring the memories and more card kit to share again this week. I am sure I mention this week after week, these cards come together quickly and easily which is what you want when putting together lots of Christmas cards.

This card is a 4" x 6" I trimmed down and matted and added a heat embossed sentiment to and some stickers from the card kit. I used stampin' dimensionals to pop the stickers up for an added wow factor. A small amount of inking on the coastal cabana "sky" portion of the card and the card is all completed apart from adhering it all together! Pretty quick and easy, didn't I tell you?

Stampin' Up! 30th birthday card using products from Joyous Noel Suite

I love it when you can use products for more than what they were originally intended for. Like the Joyous Noel Suite. It is designed for Christmas but if you don't focus on the Christmas images in the DSP for example, the paper can be used year round. I used some of the DSP on the 30th birthday card I have to share in today's post. Not to mention, I also used the glimmer paper that is from the same suite.

Stampin' Up! Heart of Christmas #14 2018

Today I have another quick and simple card to share. I am only just home from Orlando and still getting back into the swing of things. I have use the large letters for the "H" in and Ho Ho Ho. A quick snip with paper snips to shorten the letters and it has completely changed the look of them, hasn't it?

Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop - #24 Highland Heather

Our twenty fourth colour we are focusing on for the colour collections blog hop is highland heather from the subtles collection. I have chosen highland heather, melon mambo and pumpkin pie from the color coach to work with today.


This week I have a card using the fabulous hostess stamp set artfully folded which is found on page 228 of the catalogue in the just for hosts section of the catalogue. Stampin' Up! High Tide Retirement Card

I am sharing a card I made for my husbands work collage who recently retired at 72! I thought it was only fitting to share while I was away at On Stage in Orlando and have yet to return home to Melbourne. Speaking of On Stage, if you'd like to see some updates, drop by my Facebook business page for snippets of my day. 


I didn't have the right stamps (or enough time to individually stamp letters) so I cheated and printed a sentiment on my computer for the happy retirement sentiment onto the balmy blue cardstock. I used the water image from high tide stamp set in pacific point which helps make the water look realistic doesn't it? 

Inside the card, the verse reads: 

We're so sorry that you're leaving us,
but you've earned the right to take,
the time to put your feet up,
and enjoy a well-earned break!

Stampin' Up! Heart of Christmas #13 2018

While this post is live, I am in Orlando ready to attend the 3 day On Stage live event celebrating Stampin’ Up!’s 30th birthday. As I didn’t have a lot of time for creating before I left, I decided to CASE a card to keep things quick and easy. I have CASED a card from the incentive trip display from the recent Alaska cruise (creator unknown) that Claire shared on her blog.
