Our eighteenth colour we are focusing on for the colour collections blog hop is fresh fig from the 2017 - 2019 in color collection. I have chosen fresh fig, melon mambo and soft sea foam from the color coach to work with today.
I made a 60th birthday card for my dad's wife and thought she would love the fun, vibrant colours with a touch of bling. This past weekend we got together with family and friends to celebrate a belated 60th birthday for Maggie (as Dad and her were travelling around Australia on her actual birthday).
Maggie (with her white chocolate mud cake) at her first birthday party (which I didn't know until afterwards that she had never had a party before!)
Ronda Wade was the original creator of today's fancy fold card. Score the 5 1/2" x 12" designer series paper at 1 3/4", 4 3/4" & 7 3/4"
I added a piece of 1 3/4” x 5 1/2” soft sea foam designer series paper [from the Tranquil Textures pack] to the front of my card to fit with my colour coach colour combination (which I later trimmed to 1 1/2” wide [so it was a little more in keeping with the size of the fresh fig panels])

I know I have used the retired big shot numbers, if you don't have those and were wanting to recreate this card, the broadway bound speciality designer series paper does have some numbers you could cut out and use. I was just wanting some large numbers for this special birthday.
As the card is a tri fold card, I included the happy birthday verse on the second panel (as I wasn't sure what to put there for a long time!)

What a fantastic, bright card you have created for Maggie, and by that smile on her face, she sure had a wonderful "first" birthday party!

Wow Ros, that is a very cool card. Love the fold and the way you have the rhinestones around the banner. Love it!
