Our fifteenth colour we are focusing on for the colour collections blog hop is daffodil delight from the brights collection. I have chosen daffodil delight, old police and mint macaron from the color coach to work with today.
I'll be honest, and say I found this weeks colour combinations from the colour coach a challenge. The one I felt the most drawn to was the one I obviously chose to work with but even that was difficult.
I recoloured some light brown wood textures designer series paper to be mint macaron in colour by using the sponge brayer to create a "shiplap" style background. I coloured the paper then cut it into strips and inked the edges with early espresso ink and drew imperfections in the wood. The rest of the card came together fairly quickly once I had the background worked out and had decided what combination of daffodil delight I was using for the flowers. I had a bunch of whisper white flowers stamped in daffodil delight or coloured in with stampin blends or combined with mango melody and other combinations varying for a decision.

Those colours work beautifully together Ros, even though you said you struggled with this colour. Thanks for hopping along on our blog hop this week.

Great card Ros. I've never heard of that background style before and it's so effective. There's certainly some work in it.
