Our eleventh colour we are focusing on for the colour collections blog hop is cherry cobbler from the regals collection. I have chosen cherry cobbler, night of navy and soft sea foam from the color coach to work with today.
With my chosen colours today I made a shirt, tie and jeans combination for my card. It would also make a great fathers day card (if you obviously left off the happy birthday sentiment). Speaking of the happy birthday sentiment I was unsure where to put it and eventually decided on making it a clothing label on the shirt (the classic label punch made that super quick to do).
As you can see from my graphic, I used have used three different techniques on todays card.
The designer denim technique features Stampin' blends and is how I used night of navy in today's card and it was created by Teneale Williams. I love how it really does make the paper look like denim.
I'll have another post up soon featuring the marble technique (we used it on our team ATC's recently) and it was for me, a perfect way to bring soft sea foam into the card via the tie (with cherry cobbler accent marbling.)
Finally, I created textured on the belt to make it resemble leather by scrunching and crumpling basic black cardstock.
Inside the card (which I kept quite generic as at this point I hadn't decided if I was making a fathers day or birthday card)
