Stampin' Up! 6th birthday lego card

I had a blast making this 6th birthday card for my nephew to go with his Lego gift. He was pretty impressed with it as well (not to mention his Lego).

I used 1" squares for the Lego bricks with a retired circle punch to finish the bricks off.

Stampin' Up! Share What You Love Suite, Got To Have It All Bundle Make n Take

This past Saturday I attended a Stampin' Up! team event in Melbourne where I made and taught a make n take.
It was called the impossible card and I featured the share you you love suite, got to have it all bundle. I only used the designer series paper, stamp set and cardstock from the bundle. Did you know you can still purchase the bundle? Bundles are exclusive to the suites early release and will no longer be available after 31 May 2018.

Not that you can probably see it in the photos below, but here is my name tag I made and ring (shaving cream technique) I made to match my outfit. 

A couple of members from my team came to the event and we had fun trying to take a photo* in the Instagram frame.

Even managed a group photo* of everyone that made it

I am selling cardstock swatches featuring all cardstock from the 2018-2019 Stampin’ Up! catalogue.
They cost $12 each (+ postage $3 if required within Australia only)

The cardstock swatch contains 10.5cm x 7.4cm pieces of:

Thick whisper white, thick very vanilla, vellum cardstock, glossy white and shimmery white
A total of 58 different swatches

All cardstock is labeled with colour name, colour family and item code

Please note that although the item contains Stampin' Up! cardstock, the cardstock swatch is not produced by Stampin' Up!. Each set of swatches is cut, labeled and sorted by by hand.

Stampin' Up! In Color Blog Hop

Tonight the Art with Heart team are sharing creative projects featuring “in color” theme. Check out the new 2018 - 2020 in colors and lets not forget the current 2017 - 2019 in colors. I've used all 10 in colours that will be current in the 2018 - 2019 annual catalogue and a bundle of circle punches to create tonights card along with a tiny bit of stamping and designer series paper. 

On the inside I decorated it with birthday wit stamp set and for the  "Happy Birthday" portion I used sponge daubers to apply lovely lipstick, berry burst, blueberry bushel, call me clover and pineapple punch inks to create the rainbow colour sentiment.

Stampin' Up! Male Spinner Birthday Card featuring Birthday Wit

Today's post is showing off a spinner card I made using a digital print (for the car) and simple cutting of cardstock to complete the rest of the card. 

It's the first time I have ever used two sets of coins on a spinner card, but only one set was making the car slant one way or another!

Stampin' Up! Beautiful Day Flower Card #2

After sharing yesterday's Beautiful Day flower card, I had a go at another one. This time, heat embossing the flower and colouring it with my inkpads and aqua painter. I used a retired design series paper but the lovely tutti fruit designer series paper stack from the occasions catalogue has a lovely black and white stripe that would work great. That is what I wanted to use but had ran out... Boo!

Do you like the happy birthday sentiment I used? It is from the birthday wit stamp set (which is very sadly retiring) and I used my paper snips to only cut out the happy birthday portion and cut it into two to fit in the space left on my card.

Stampin' Up! Beautiful Day Flower Card

I had a idea pop into my head the other day which is not a new technique, but a new colouring "tool" to me at least. Colouring with the sponge daubers! I had never done it before with a stamped image. The flower image from Beautiful Day stamp set is perfect to practise my sponge dauber colouring with as a the nice open wide space the flower has. I stamped the flower in fresh fig ink and used sweet sugarplum for the flower petals. Daffodil delight finished off the centre of the flower with wild wasabi leaves.

Try it Thursday #15 - Large Origami Gift Pouch featuring Stampin' Up! Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper

Today's "Try it Thursday" create is an origami gift pouch which I used for my mother in laws gift on Mothers Day. It is quite a large pocket with the pocket portion measuring 13cm x 17.5cm (5" x 7") and made from a 12" x 12" piece of designer series paper.
One thing the video didn't say clearly to me was to after you fold the DSP in half, fold the right hand side of the triangle over to the 18cm (7") mark and then it is a lot easier to make your left hand fold. (I originally tried folding it at 6" and it was an awkward shape that had bits of paper where they shouldn't have been!)

As I mentioned in this post, I don't own any mothers day stamps so I printed a sentiment and used framelits to cut it out.

Stampin' Up! Arrow Fold Mothers Day Card featuring Naturally Eclectic DSP

Happy mothers day to all my mum readers out there.
I couldn't help but make my mum a fancy fold Mothers Day card and when I saw this card, I knew it would be perfect. I did change the inside up as my card base was a little flimsy. I used a square piece of lemon lime twist cardstock 14.8cm (5 13/16") as a matt for stability with a 14.3cm (15 10/16") piece of designer series paper to echo the front of the card.
The arrow fold card design would love fabulous in the "Share What You Love" designer series paper but I am on a mission to use up some of my current (but soon to retire) designer series paper!

I don't own any mothers day stamps (shock horror!) so I printed a sentiment from my computer and die cut it with the layering oval framelits.
