Stampin' Up! Not Your Mother's Shaving Cream Technique Class

February's technique class was a step up from last months shaving cream class called "not your mothers shaving cream technique". It all begun with a card I CASED from Kim Jolly. 

We didn't make this Tranquil Tulips card in class but made the below cards instead.

I've used 4 of the 16 fabulous sale-a-bration products on my blog hop creations today. The list of free products available include stamps, designer series paper, ribbon, thinlet dies, card kits, envelopes, dynamic textured impressions embossing folder and memories and more cards. Wow, what a list of free product to choose from!

As I was saying, I used 4 different products on my cards today. Bubbles & fizz designer series paper, party pandas stamp set, amazing you stamp set and the co-ordinating celebrate you thinlets dies. 3 of these 4 items are level 1 product with the celebrate you thinlet dies a level 2 product.

I've made 3 cards, all quite similar (they all feature a stamped and glitter sentiment with the party panda image) but with various step ups.
Card 1 is the most basic of them all. Designer series paper for the background with the sentiment adhered onto a strip of whisper white cardstock.

Card 2 is a subtle background featuring handmade designer series paper (using inkpads and a stampin' spritzer) 

Card 3 (my favourite!) has again handmade designer series paper but in more vibrant tones. The card also features a spinner panel with the panda raised using stampin' dimensionals for added detail.

Tips to remember:
Stampin' blends colour amazing with just one colour on whisper white cardstock and leave no streaky lines (I used them for the panda hat).
Peel the glossy back off the glimmer paper before die cutting and adhere multipurpose adhesive sheet. This makes it a lot easier to stick you die cut in place.

Today I am sharing January 8th - 11th of my 2018 album. 
On January 8th, my daughters went and saw Pitch Perfect 3 with friends and I forgot to ask the girls to take a photo for me. Thankfully, replicating the ticket on the computer (as I didn't have that either) and downloading a movie poster was a great way to remember the event.

Stampin' Up! Memories & More Monday #3

Today I am sharing January 7th my 2018 album. It was my mum's 60th birthday and while we took lots of photos, they ones I want to remember the most are the ones with my immediate family and the one with all the guest. I have a sheet of vellum between the two photos in the album with a short description about the day and all the names of relatives. This is a great way to add information without adhering anything to the photo.

Stampin' Up! Memories & More Monday #2

Today I am sharing January 2nd - 6th of my 2018 album. This year I am using monthly 4" x 6" calendars in my album at the beginning of each month to display family birthdays and to document other events that I don't have photos for. I downloaded them and printed them from here.

 Jan 3 &  4 are in a page protector I cut down (using my paper trimmer) as I knew I wanted room for journalling on Jan 5 & 6 that wasn't on the photos. 

On Jan 6th there was a terrible fire locally and whilst I took photos you couldn't see much due to the volume of smoke. I downloaded a photo from the nine news webpage and used it as my image for the day.

Stampin' Up! Epic Celebrations One Sheet Wonder

Earlier this month I taught a one sheet wonder class and we focused on using the sale-a-bration free stamp set epic celebrations which is available in most clear and wood mount. A one sheet wonder is where you take a full sheet of cardstock and stamp randomly over the cardstock and cut the cardstock into smaller panels to create your cards. My one sheet wonder made 5 cards with very little left over. Here is what the cardstock looked like in the beginning.
