The card I am sharing today features a lot of little scraps I had left over from my monthly techniques class. I couldn't bare to throw them away and loved the idea of overlapping them onto scrap cardstock and using it as the basis for a "name" card for a birthday party for a school friend of my youngest daughters.

Do you ever feel like you make one "type" of card more than another for a specific age group? My daughter has requested a shaker card like this one that I made for one of her friends and being that they are in the same friendship group it could be exactly the same (IYKWIM?)

Welcome back for week 22 of the Heart of Christmas cards. This week's card is a very simple one using the Merry Little Christmas Memories and More card pack.
Inside card
Step by step instructions to create you own card (inches are in bold)
If desired ink all edges of cardstock/DSP etc. using inkpads and sponge daubers
1. Cut old olive cardstock 29cm x 10cm (11 7/16" x 4") & score at 14.5cm (5 6/8") and set aside
2. Cut the following cardstock
- cherry cobbler 14cm x 9.5cm (5 1/2" x 3 3/4")
- memories & more vertical baubles card 13.5cm x 9cm (5 5/8" x 3 1/2")
3. Stamp the 2 step "tis the season" from Merry Patterns Hostess stamp set in memento ink and stamp the 2nd step in lemon lime twist in the bottom right hand corner of the baubles panel
4. Adhere baubles panel onto cherry cobbler cardstock and adhere onto old olive card front
5. Add rhinestone basic jewels onto the round circle baubles

I made this card a while ago (and posted it here on instagram) and I made 2 cards in an hour! This is the other card.
I already had the watercolour background piece prepared which helped speed things up.

Welcome back for week 21 of the Heart of Christmas cards. This week's card features Be Merry designer series paper which is on of the papers in the buy 3, get 1 FREE special this month with Stampin' Up!

Step by step instructions to create you own card (inches are in bold)
If desired ink all edges of cardstock/DSP etc. using inkpads and sponge daubers
1. Cut cherry cobblercardstock 29cm x 10cm (11 7/16" x 4") & score at 14.5cm (5 6/8") and set aside
2. Cut the following cardstock
- copper foil sheet 14cm x 9.5cm (5 1/2" x 3 3/4")
- scrap paper 13.5cm x 9cm (5 5/8" x 3 1/2")
- be merry designer series paper 1.3cm (1/2") strips
3. Adhere strips of designer series paper randomly onto scrap paper and cut off excess
4. "Ink" up for/from stamp using stampin' write markers and stamp onto whisper white cardstock
5. Die cut out stamped image using stitched shapes framelits
4. Die cut scallop oval using layering ovals framelits out of the centre of the copper foil sheet (it will be hidden later when you put the strips of DSP over it)
5. Adhere the DSP cover paper onto the copper foil sheet and adhere onto cherry cobbler card
6. Adhere stamped image onto copper oval frame and adhere onto DSP using stampin' dimensionals

Welcome to another Art with Heart Team blog hop where we are focusing on designer series paper. For tonights card I have used the amazing Petal Garden designer series paper stack to create my card. I have only used 1 of the sheets that come in the pack but there is at total of 48, 6 x 6 sheets in the pack with 4 sheets of each of the 12 double sided designs.
On my card I have created a chevron design with the designer series paper and the sentiment is heat embossed and coloured in with Stampin' Write Markers. I have finished off the card with machine stitching and a double bow.

Welcome back for week 20 of the Heart of Christmas cards. This week's card is basically a stepped up version of last weeks card (and I have included the usual instructions) featuring Merry Little Christmas Memories and More card pack.

Step by step instructions to create you own card (inches are in bold)
If desired ink all edges of cardstock/DSP etc. using inkpads and sponge daubers
1. Cut pool party cardstock 29cm x 10cm (11 7/16" x 4") & score at 14.5cm (5 6/8") and set aside
2. Cut the following cardstock
- island indigo 14cm x 9.5cm (5 1/2" x 3 3/4")
- pool party 10.5cm x 8cm (4 1/8" x 3 1/8")
- window sheet 10.5cm x 8cm (4 1/8" x 3 1/8")
- Merry Music speciality DSP 5cm x 9.5cm (2" x 3 3/4")
3. Adhere snowflake stickers from Merry Little Christmas Memories & More Card Pack onto island indigo cardstock
4. Adhere Merry Musical DSP onto the base of the island indigo cardstock and cover the join with silver washi tape from year of cheer washi pack
5. Adhere the "Silent Night" Memories & More card onto the island indigo cardstock on the top third of the card and adhere island indigo cardstock onto the pool party card front
6. Using stampin' trimmer or layering squares framelits (and big shot) cut a rectangle into the pool party cardstock to create a frame for the shaker card
7. Adhere the window sheet onto the pool party cardstock and use foam adhesive strips to create a barrier for the shaker card
8. Sprinkle some glitter onto the "Silent Night" card and cover with shaker card frame

Way back in June, I had an in color card class to introduce the new 2017 - 2019 in colors. Why oh why it has taken till October to blog the cards I have no idea.
Card 1, makes use of my favourite “Happy Birthday” thinlet and the multi purpose adhesive sheets. It certainly makes light work of sticking down the thin strips.
Card 2, nearly has a bit of everything on it. Sewing to hold the vellum in place, big shot die cutting for the ovals, fussy cutting the lady from Beautiful You stamp set and heat embossing for the birthday sentiment.
Card 3, doesn't use powder pink in color but uses the other 4. Just a simple layering of shapes onto white cardstock.
Which is your favourite in color?
Mine is Lemon Lime Twist. It’s a sure sign you love it when you already have to re ink your inkpad a 2nd time since you got it in May!
