Welcome back for week 7 of the Heart of Christmas cards. Last week I used the boxwood wreath to create a door card and today I have teamed it up with the hearth & home framelit die to create a wreath hanging from the window. As always, the step by step instructions to recreate my card are at the end of this blog post.

Step by step instructions to create you own card (inches are in bold)
If desired ink all edges of cardstock/DSP etc. using coordinating inkpads and sponge daubers
1. Cut garden green cardstock 29cm x 10cm (11 7/16" x 4") & score at 14.5cm (5 6/8") and set aside
2. Cut real red cardstock 14cm x 9.5cm (5 1/2" x 3 3/4") and scrap paper 13.5cm x 9cm (5 5/8" x 3 1/2")
3. Cut 1.3cm (1/2") strips of wood textures designer series paper until you have enough to cover the scrap paper and adhere them in place
4. Using the hearth and home framelit, cut the shape out of the wood texture panel (and if you save the window you can use it on another project). Also cut another window out of whisper white cardstock
5. Adhere a rectangle of black cardstock (large enough to cover the window) on the real red cardstock
6. Adhere the wood texture panel onto the real red cardstock in the centre
7. Trim a doily into quarters and adhere it behind the whisper white window
8. Adhere the whisper white window in the centre of the wood texture panel
9. Adhere the wood texture panel onto the garden green card front
10. Glue the ribbon and boxwood wreath on covering part of the window
11. Glue a red bow onto the wreath

The wood grain background looks fabulous with your festive window, Ros. I might have to succumb to those wreaths after all, lol.
