Welcome back for week 9 of the Heart of Christmas cards. Just like last week, I have made a card featuring "Be Merry" designer series paper. This is my fail safe design for when I am stuck as it works so many different ways. I also love that it is a great stash buster, especially for some of the heavier designer series papers that you don't always know how to use.
As always, the step by step instructions to recreate my card are at the end of this blog post.

Step by step instructions to create you own card (inches are in bold)
If desired ink all edges of cardstock/DSP etc. using coordinating inkpads and sponge daubers
1. Cut cherry cobbler cardstock 14.5cm x 20cm (5 6/8" x 7 7/8") & score at 10cm (4") and set aside
2. Cut garden green cardstock 14cm x 9.5cm (5 1/2" x 3 3/4")
3. Cut white Christmas ornaments DSP (from Be Merry DSP) 13.5cm x 9cm (5 5/8" x 3 1/2") cherry cobbler "sparkles" DSP 13.5cm x 3.5cm (5 5/8" x 1 3/8")
4. Cut white white cardstock 2cm x 9cm (6/8" x 3 1/2") and stamp "Seasons of Joy" in cherry cobbler ink on the centre of the strip
5. Stamp and punch out Santa image from Cookie Cutter Christmas using basic black inkpad onto watercolor cardstock and colour in Santa (using preferred method)
6. Die cut out a green/white splatters DSP (so that the Santa image fits nicely in the centre) and also die cut a sahara sand scallop circle to sit behind the green circle
7. Adhere the cherry cobbler DSP in the centre of the whisper white DSP and stick the sahara sand/garden green/santa image together and adhere in the top third of the cherry cobbler strip
8. Punch out 2 strips of decorative ribbon border from garden green cardstock scraps that are 9cm (3 1/2") in length and adhere to the back of the seasons of joy sentiment and adhere below the santa/circle image
9. Adhere the whisper white DSP onto the garden green cardstock and adhere onto the cherry cobbler card front

Such a bright, fun Christmas card, Ros. The layout does work really well with the busy DSP. I will have to give this one a go myself.

So cute, Ros! The DSP that you've used behind Santa is my favourite from the pack. I'm too afraid to use it as I like it so much!! Silly, really!
