Stampin' Up! Heart of Christmas, Merry Little Labels

Welcome back for week 25 of the Heart of Christmas cards. This week's card is featuring the naturally eclectic designer series paper mixed with the merry little labels stamp set. I love how a non Christmas designer series paper has worked to create this Christmas card. This card can also be modified to a birthday card with a change of sentiment.

Step by step instructions to create you own card (inches are in bold)
If desired ink all edges of cardstock/DSP etc. using coordinating inkpads and sponge daubers
1. Cut lemon lime twist cardstock 20cm x 14.5cm (7 7/8" x 5 6/8") & score at 10cm (4") and set aside
2. Cut "splots" designer series paper (DSP) 9.5cm x 14cm (3 3/4" x 5 1/2") 
3. Cut whisper white cardstock 9cm x 13.5cm (3 1/2" x 5 5/8") 
3. Cut strips of emerald envy cardstock 0.6cm (1/4")
4. Using emerald envy ink, stamp "special delivery" stamp in the centre of the whisper white cardstock 
5. Using paper snips, poke a hole in the centre of the DSP and use the stamped "special delivery" image as a guide to tear DSP (so that the sentiment can be seen when mounted behind the DSP)
6. Adhere the sentiment behind the DSP
7. Adhere emerald envy strips to mimic the appearance of ribbon (around a present) and adhere torn back DSP in place (using snail)
8. Adhere the DSP onto the lemon lime twist card front

Stampin' Up! Heart of Christmas, Quilted Christmas Designer Series Paper

Welcome back for week 24 of the Heart of Christmas cards. This week's card is featuring the Quilted Christmas Designer Series Paper Stack. 


Inside card

Step by step instructions to create you own card (inches are in bold)
If desired ink all edges of cardstock/DSP etc. using coordinating inkpads and sponge daubers
1. Cut blushing bride cardstock 20cm x 14.5cm (7 7/8" x 5 6/8") & score at 10cm (4") and set aside
2. Cut whisper white cardstock 9.5cm x 14cm (3 3/4" x 5 1/2") and 1.5cm x 10cm (5/8" x 4")
3. Cut soft suede cardstock 1.2cm x 2.5cm (1/2" x 1")
4. Cut out 9 triangles from quilted christmas designer series paper (I used the pattern on the backside of the green striped paper)
5. Adhere soft suede tree trunk at the bottom centre of the whisper white cardstock
6. Adhere triangles in a tree shape on top of the tree trunk
7. Run whisper white cardstock through big shot using textured impressions embossing folder
8. Stamp sentiment in soft suede ink and cut flag ends using paper snips
8. Adhere sentiment on the centre of the tree using stampin' dimesionals
9. Punch out a star shape for the top of the tree and adhere in place
9. Adhere whisper white card onto blushing bride card front

Stampin' Up! Heart of Christmas featuring Christmas Quilt

Welcome back for week 15 of the Heart of Christmas cards. This week, I have used the "Christmas Quilt Bundle" featuring Christmas Quilt stamp set and Quilt Builder Framelit Dies.
As always, the step by step instructions to recreate my card are at the end of this blog post.

Inside Card


Step by step instructions to create you own card (inches are in bold)
If desired ink all edges of cardstock/DSP etc. using inkpads and sponge daubers
1. Cut garden green cardstock 14.5cm x 20cm (5 6/8" x 7 7/8") & score at 10cm (4") and set aside
2. Cut the following cardstock/designer series paper (DSP)
- real red 14cm x 9.5cm (5 1/2" x 3 3/4") 
- Quilted Christmas designer series paper (DSP) (I used a white and green quilt style paper) 13.5cm x 9cm (5 5/8" x 3 1/2") 
- crumb cake cardstock 8cm x 8cm (3" x 3")
- whisper white cardstock 3cm x 10cm (1 3/16" x 4") 
3. Die cut
- whisper white 8 pointed star and various colour DSP for "star points" (I used both red and green)
- holly leaves in garden green and lemon lime twist and holly berry in real red cardstock
4. Using triple banner punch, punch a flag end on the whisper white cardstock and stamp Christmas sentiment in Memento ink
5. Stamp Santa face (from Cookie Cutter Christmas) onto spare whisper white cardstock. Colour as desired and cut out face using paper snips
6. Adhere 8 pointed star onto crumb cake cardstock and assemble star points onto star and finish off with Santa face in the centre on Stampin' dimensionals
7. Adhere crumb cake square onto DSP using stampin' dimensionals (with the top/left/right edges all even)
8. Adhere DSP onto real red cardstock and adhere sentiment onto left hand side. Trim off overhang of whisper white cardstock. Adhere holly leaves on the flag end side.
9. Adhere real red cardstock onto garden green card front

Stampin' Up! Cut 3, Make 4 DSP Techniques Class

May's technique class was the cut 3, make 4 designer series paper (DSP) technique. A handy stash buster at this stage of the year when you realise that you have some many bits of DSP left over. This technique is also great for mass card producing as the title says, you cut 3 times and make 4 (cards!).

Stampin' Up! Chase Your Dreams Holidays themed ATC's

Each month I am joining fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators in my team and we are making ATC's based on a theme. 10 themes for the 10 years that I will have been a Stampin' Up! demonstrator for (in September 2017). This months theme was "Holidays" and I used the Sydney Opera House image from the retiring Chase Your Dreams stamp set from the Occasions Catalogue.

Stampin' Up! annual catalogue & occasions catalogue retiring blog hop featuring balloon adventures

Today I am participating in a blog hop along with the super talented ladies in the Art With Heart Team. We thought it would be fun to share some projects using our favourite retiring products from both the 2016 - 2017 annual and 2017 occasions catalogues.

I've used the balloon adventures stamp set and co-ordinating framelits (which is also available as a bundle at a 10% discount) but are currently cheaper to purchase individually with the discounts that have Stampin' Up! have applied (with them being retiring products).

I've used the distressed glue technique and sponge daubers to create the inked cardstock that I die cut out using the balloon pop-up thinlet dies. I cut out an extra piece of the "banner" in whisper white cardstock to create the raised sentiment for the "party on" panel. I also used a piece of vellum cardstock to tone down the emerald envy cardstock (in the card background so it wasn't competing with the distressed glue panel.)

Stampin' Up! Easter goodie bags featuring celebrate today and suite sentiment stamp sets

I made my little nephews carrot goodie bags for Easter this year. I finished each bag with a gift tag stamped "Happy Easter" using wild wasabi and pumpkin pie inkpads to echo the colours of the carrot.

The "happy" is from the retiring stamp set Celebrate Today which is reduced to $38.25 (and also has coordinating framelit dies called Balloon Framelits.)

The "Easter" wording is also from another retiring stamp set called Suite Sentiments available in both wood mount and clear mount (with clear mount being discounted to $29.75.)

Stampin' Up! no stamp stamping ATC's featuring gorgeous grunge & timeless textures

February ATC's theme on our team forum was "no stamp stamping". Stamps could used on the ATC but it also needed to focus on some no stamping which could be done with embossing folders, erasers, bubble wrap etc. I went with paper scrunching and ink which is used on my t-shirts and I stamped the background of the ATC with my favourite stamp set, gorgeous grunge which is on the Stampin' Up! retirement list. Sob!


Midway through making my ATC's I made my nephews first birthday card featuring Elmo and I used the same technique on Elmo.
