Stampin' Up! Sheltering Tree Thumping Technique ATC's

Each month I am joining fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators in our greater team and we are making ATC's based on a technique.

Previous months techniques
November 2016 - Faux Tile
January 2017 - Paper piercing
February 2017 - No stamp stamping

The technique for March was thumping. If you've never heard of thumping of before, it is stamping a light colour on the stamp and following up by using stampin' write markers on an angle to create a "thumping" noise as the marker hits the stamp. It is best to use a variety of markers to get a variation in colours. 
I thought the various tones would be perfect for an autumn/fall style tree.

Stampin' Up! Remarkable You ATC's

Remember this blog post with my mother's day cards? Here are the ATC's (which are pretty much the same thing, only a slight change here or there.) These were made for my team ATC swap. 10 themes for the 10 years that I will have been a Stampin' Up! demonstrator for (in September 2017).
This months theme was "Flowers" and I featured the "Remarkable You" stamp set and some techniques to create an artistic looking background.

Stampin' Up! Cut 3, Make 4 DSP Techniques Class

May's technique class was the cut 3, make 4 designer series paper (DSP) technique. A handy stash buster at this stage of the year when you realise that you have some many bits of DSP left over. This technique is also great for mass card producing as the title says, you cut 3 times and make 4 (cards!).

Mother's Day Card featuring Stampin' Up! Remarkable You Stamp Set

I was really struggling what to make for a Mother's Day card this year for my Mum and MIL. After playing around making ATC's for a flower theme I had some leftover bases and my Mother's Day card was created in a snap.

I spent Mother's Day having lunch with my mum and afternoon tea with my MIL. Thankfully, all my kids were willing (this time but not on Tuesday when I tried previously) to take our annual photo for the Grandmothers (and this pleased me very much as it is ONE thing I ask for every year).

I fussy cut the designer series paper stack so when the card was closed the designer series paper matches up with the right hand side (as soon below).

Stampin' Up! Chase Your Dreams Holidays themed ATC's

Stampin' Up! annual catalogue & occasions catalogue retiring blog hop featuring balloon adventures

Today I am participating in a blog hop along with the super talented ladies in the Art With Heart Team. We thought it would be fun to share some projects using our favourite retiring products from both the 2016 - 2017 annual and 2017 occasions catalogues.

I've used the balloon adventures stamp set and co-ordinating framelits (which is also available as a bundle at a 10% discount) but are currently cheaper to purchase individually with the discounts that have Stampin' Up! have applied (with them being retiring products).

I've used the distressed glue technique and sponge daubers to create the inked cardstock that I die cut out using the balloon pop-up thinlet dies. I cut out an extra piece of the "banner" in whisper white cardstock to create the raised sentiment for the "party on" panel. I also used a piece of vellum cardstock to tone down the emerald envy cardstock (in the card background so it wasn't competing with the distressed glue panel.)

Stampin' Up! Easter goodie bags featuring celebrate today and suite sentiment stamp sets

I made my little nephews carrot goodie bags for Easter this year. I finished each bag with a gift tag stamped "Happy Easter" using wild wasabi and pumpkin pie inkpads to echo the colours of the carrot.

The "happy" is from the retiring stamp set Celebrate Today which is reduced to $38.25 (and also has coordinating framelit dies called Balloon Framelits.)

The "Easter" wording is also from another retiring stamp set called Suite Sentiments available in both wood mount and clear mount (with clear mount being discounted to $29.75.)

Stampin' Up! Thank You card featuring "Hello You" thinlits

As another domestic basketball season has drawn to a close, I once again volunteered to make thank you cards for the coaches.

I choose to use the "Hello You" thinlits as my main greeting and die cut both the "thanks" and "you" words in pacific point cardstock. As you will have noticed, the card doesn't read "thanks you" as I cut the extra "s" off the word "thanks" using my paper snips.

Did you know that the "Hello You" thinlits have a coordinating stamp set called "Crazy About You". It is available in wood mount, clear mount and photopolymer and is on the annual Stampin' Up! retiring product list.

I was originally going for a different design for this card, a Z fold actually but, one of the girls in the team wrote on the card as if she was the only person to write on that section. A little scanning and photoshop magic made it fit with some of the other signatures. I have to track down a few more girls before the game tomorrow (there game is to see who finishes 3rd or 4th on the ladder for the season) hence the additional white panel.  

The basketball used on the card front was an image I downloaded from the internet and can be found here. The basketball playing girls I covered with fine tip glue pen were cut using my electronic die cutting machine.

Stampin' Up! no stamp stamping ATC's featuring gorgeous grunge & timeless textures

February ATC's theme on our team forum was "no stamp stamping". Stamps could used on the ATC but it also needed to focus on some no stamping which could be done with embossing folders, erasers, bubble wrap etc. I went with paper scrunching and ink which is used on my t-shirts and I stamped the background of the ATC with my favourite stamp set, gorgeous grunge which is on the Stampin' Up! retirement list. Sob!


Midway through making my ATC's I made my nephews first birthday card featuring Elmo and I used the same technique on Elmo.
