Limited supplies challenge part 2

Yesterday, I set myself a challenge to make a card using very limited supplies. A recap of the supplies I was using were, 1 sheet of designer series paper (Storytime), cardstock, inkpads, stamps and crystal effects (I also used the scallop edge boarder punch inside the card). 


Stampin' Up! materials used:
Stamps: Bring on the cake, life shared
Inkpads: Basic black, sahara sand, riding hood red, wild wasabi, so saffron, pool party
Cardstock: Riding hood red, wild wasabi, pool party, so saffron
Punches: Scallop edge border
Accessories: Crystal effects 

Limited supplies challenge

Today, I set myself a challenge. I was to make a card using limited supplies. Using the above supplies I not only made one card but three (which I will share over the coming days).

Techniques class*, March 1st, 7pm - 10pm
Join me and learn the faux patina technique. You will create a sample card (with step by step instructions) and two finished cards with envelopes. Cost $20

Al dressed up class*, March 15th, 7pm - 10pm
Join me and create 3 cards featuring all dressed up stamp set, dress up framelits and dress form pop n cuts. Cost $25

Monster high birthday card

It feels as if it is becoming birthday season around here with birthday party invitations coming in thick and fast for the kiddies. Today's card is one I made for Miss B's bestie who loves Monster High. I used the blossoms builder punch for the base shape of the monster high "face" shape and a 3d cardstock bow.

Save the date

Today, I'm sharing the "save the dates" I made for my sisters upcoming wedding. I die cut the top note and then ran them through the printer. The details re the upcoming wedding is all under the top note that is scored and folded (and adhered under the basic grey cardstock). 

Stampin' Up! materials used:
Stamps: Hearts a flutter (on the envelopes)
Ink: Basic grey, real red
Cardstock: Whisper white, real red, basic grey
Punches: Small heart
Accessories: Big shot, top note die, red glimmer paper, real red grosgrain ribbon (retired)

Hoot!

Using a pile of small scraps, I came up with today's card that I am calling "Hoot".
Basically the owl is all made up of punched shapes with the "head" being hand drawn.

As my card is larger than the standard C6, it measures 12.5cm x 15cm (4 15/16" x 5 7/8") I used the simply scored scoring tool and some floral district designer series paper and made an envelope to suit my large card.

SAB surprise class

On the weekend I taught my sale-a-bration surprise class. We used the sale-a-bration freebies "sycamore street designer series paper", "sycamore street ribbon and button pack" and "patterned occasions stamp set". Everyone made 5 cards that fit into an empty clear mount stamp case.

December daily, day 4

I stole a few moments last night to scrap another day for my December Daily 2012 journal. I'm hoping to build the album a lot quicker with the kids at school but then again, I could be distracted with all the seasonal catalogue goodies quite easily.

After yesterdays quick and simply card, I made an even easier version. This one has no pearls, nor a flower on the belt and is different colours. It does still use the lovely print poetry designer series paper stack though just in another colour way.
