Decorated on board art journal

The kids are bringing home birthday invites all the time of late. This weekend Nikki has a birthday party to go to. I decorated this book as part of the gift. I'll be sad to see the sweet and sour specialty designer series paper (DSP) go. It took a while to grow on me, but now I love the fun and playfulness of it.

I've covered an on board art journal with DSP and some styled silver hardware filled with pumpkin pie cardstock run through the printer to create a nameplate.

Get well cards

My father in law hasn't been well of late so the kids made a pile of cards for him. Thankfully, he is doing much better after having two stents put in this past week.

I love the sentiments and hand written notes from the kids... Who wouldn't love a card from a child trying to spelt "better" on their own and writing "beter" or "beta" instead.

I love the "I want to get well" speech bubble on this one...

I love that Drew wrote "Love Drew, From Drew" just in case we weren't sure who made the card... He did write it on the back (as well as a note inside the card. Maybe he was putting his mark on his card like I do with the stickers I place on the back of all my cards?)

Very cute advice from Nikki about letting Grandad know he shouldn't go outside and get wosa (worse) or sika (sicker)....

I've made a birthday card this month that I think is masculine but would suit any age. When I begun making it I was going to give it to my soon to be 6 year old, but seeing as how well it would work for an older male, I am thinking of making him another card.

Loyalty reward cards

For those that don't know, I offer a loyalty reward card for purchases over $75.

I print these cards myself and hand stamp them with my chosen stamp. This batch, I used the greenhouse garden stamp set ($45.95), real red and regal rose inkpads ($11.95 each). I love the way the stamped image helps pop the card and make it more, you know... me!

If you purchase $75 or more of product from me and don't have a loyalty card yet, be on the lookout for it in the mail soon. Contact me to place any orders.

Wicked

A long time ago I saw this creation by the very talented Ellen Kemper and filed it away to use with the Wicked tickets I had saved. Well, that day has finally arrived. The tickets have been sitting near my computer monitor mocking me so it was high time I scrapped them. Added motivation was also with the small oval punch retiring this month, which has now been sold out!

Birthday card and matching notebook

Drew recently attended a birthday party for a classmate at the local roller skating rink. He'd never been skating before but loved it once I also got a pair of roller blades on and joined him. This is the card I made to match part of the little girls present.

Taylah was wrapt with her gift as it had her name spelt right (and it had her favourite colours, pink and purple). With her name having unusual spelling, I suspected that I could have been on the right track adding her name to the book cover.
