Recently, Bella celebrated her fourth birthday. She had a ball despite between the two celebrations splitting her head open, requiring two stitches. She was spoilt with presents receiving loads of new clothes, a dolls pram, dolly clothing, a kids karaoke machine and a bunch of other stuff I can't remember.
Bella requested a butterfly cake from her Grandmother and since we weren't celebrating with the extended family on her birthday I make her a butterfly cake too. Mine was a rainbow layer cake and she was most surprised when I cut into the cake and took out the first slice. For the rainbow layer cake recipe click here.
I used the big shot and the beautiful butterflies die to cut out a cardstock butterfly and use it as a mask for the sprinkles on the top of her cake.
Opening presents
Now all Bella has left to do is to celebrate at kinder when kinder returns on Wednesday. She is looking forward to handing out the lolly bags I made her using retired designer series paper. There is a tutorial here if you want to make your own.
Awesome cake Ros! And those sunny boy containers full of lollies are great.
Lovely pic of miss B opening her present - is that christmas paper?
