It's Friday again and the start of a two week break from school here in Victoria. It is looking like it will be a long school holidays. My daughter upended my container of dazzling diamonds over today's card (because she wanted it to look pretty I guess!) so it you see various "sparkles" on the card, you know why.
Today's card sketch was designed by Brenda Taylor
My MIL's birthday is next weekend and she is an avid patchworker. Using today's sketch and Christine Blain's (fellow Art with Heart team member) idea of a paper scraps top note, today's card was born. I could have used a white gel pen for the "stitching" but being me, and having to have it just "so" I hand sewed all the stitching. This card, also makes use of the circle ice rhinestone brads that are featured as part of the final deal of the week available to Australian/New Zealand customers.
A close up of the top note
Stop by and check out Sharon Field's blog for her card. In case there is a link not working, I am also including links for the other team members.

You HAND SEWED that??!! It is beautiful, Ros. (Thanks for the mention, too. I'm having a lot of fun making these quilted Top Notes - my craft room is in danger of being covered in them!)
