Time for our 11th S.A.M creative challenge, to create a 3d item.
I am usually scheduled onto the 2nd challenge of the month but Sue Madex and I did a little swap. She was inspired to create a layout for the next challenge and I had begun working on this creation for my mum for mother's day. Usually, I am slack and leave my layouts etc. to the last minute but I must admit, it was nice being early this month. :D
This framed creation is along the lines of the mini book I made for the ESAD mother's day blog hop recently. I asked my kids questions about their Nanna and documented their responses. I also got them to each draw a picture of themselves with Nanna. Under the main 4" x 6" photo it lifts up to reveal Bella's drawing and a little mother's day message.
Some of the amusing answers were
What is her name?
Drew: Mum
How old is Nanna?
Josh: 52
Nikki: 81
Drew: 22
Bella: 3
Who are Nanna's children?
Drew: Us
What is Nanna's job?
Josh: Going to work and scrunch up the cans (she works in a scrap metal yard)
Nikki: She works at her work, she goes on the computer
With photo lifted up (open)
Some close up shots
Materials list:
Stamps: Organic outlines, occasional greetings
Ink: Pretty in pink, pixie pink, basic black
Cardstock: Whisper white, pretty in pink, pixie pink, basic black
Punches: 1/2" circle, small tag, large tag
Accessories: Crop-o-dile, linen thread, 1/4" real red grosgrain ribbon, pretty in pink taffeta ribbon

What a fabulous gift that was. Love what you've done with the printer's tray. I bet your mum has a smile on her face whenever she looks at it. Great pics!
