Sorry for the late post. I have been teaching for most of the day (from 10am - 5pm) and then finished my swaps for convention minus the recipe just now. Todays card is actually one I had scheduled for next week (as I don't arrive home from convention until next Monday) but since I ran out of time, I brought if forward as I don't like leaving you hanging.

Time for another S.A.M creative challenge. I am also sponsering this challenge and I am challenging you all to create a "shaped" layout. That is, not your usual square or rectangle layout.
I came up with this super cute double sided vest layout of my two sons featuring photos from my wedding last year. I tried to re-create the design on their vest with clear embossing powder and two stamp sets. The buttons also feature the faux metal technique. Journaling is on the back and reads:
Josh and Drew, you two were pretend page boys at our wedding. You both looked adorably spunky (and I have photographic proof!)
I wanted all my children to be dressed as part of the wedding but, not necessarily have offical roles.
You boy rode in the Hummer limo with Grandpa, Aunty Fiona, Aunty Didi and me (Mum), and even walked down the aisle with Aunty Fiona. You both loved being part of our special day and didn't mind the attendion one little bit.

Working on swaps* at the moment, (they are taking a small chunk of time), writing instructions for the petal party card bonanza also (class running next week) and making time for my 2 Pilates classes a week and I feel as if I am still (Drew and Bella are calling Pilates, parties. Why do you go parties mum? Can we come too?).
Nikki had just started gymnastics (and totally loving it!)
Hope to have something creative to share soon and not just photos. At least they don't make for such a boring post!

A late re-cap but one all the same. Sunday begun with me not being able to sleep in (what the?), I was awake at 7.40am. The kids gave me my presents (which the had been trying to do some Thursday I might ad), a new dressing gown, matching slippers and nail polish (Nat and the kids), coffee mug and lip gloss (Nikki), body wash, loofah, mirror and mini torch (Josh), soap in a hand sewed bag (Drew) and Lindt chocolates (Bella).
Nat cooked me a breakie of bacon and eggs that I got to eat while reading the paper. Finding the paper tiring to read, I headed back to bed for a 2 hour nap! I got up and finished off my mum's present (can't show you until early June as it is doubling for a Stampamemory challenge.) and we set off to an early dinner at mum's. Roasted meats done in the webber, yummo! Rounded out the evening with calling in to see my in-laws at my SIL's house. My MIL loved the drawings and quotes from the kids. (See this post)
I did get my annual photo with the kids and even managed to squeeze Nanna into one as well.
Just want to finish this post off with a pic of the 4 kids. They kindly posed for mum on Saturday so I could get some pictures for Nanna. Worked like a treat and I think I am going to have to use the excuse of "photos for Nanna" more often.

Late again, I know but this time I have been battling a headache close to migraine for a better part of the day.

At Drew's 3.5 year old check up with the health nurse, it was suggested I take Drew to get his eyes tested before he begun school. Hmm, okay I said thinking that was a little weird as he doesn't start school for another 1.5 years. Finally, in the last week (Thursday) I took him for that eye test. We had to get back for another test on Tuesday with him having eye drops in before hand to dilate his eyes. He now has glasses to wear and is extremely long sighted. The optometrist measured him up at a +4. His script is only a +2 for the moment though.
Of course, now knowing he is long sighted a few other things make sense, why he sits close to the tv (because he couldn't see it) and why when he went and saw a 3D movie that he didn't wear the 3D glasses and could "see it" better without them.
Here's a couple of pics with his glasses, (we got two pairs in case of emergency etc. and because I got a two for one deal)
The pictures of him are pretty much all Drewie, in terms of the smug smile on the left and working up to his cheeky grin on the right.
He totally loves his glasses case (dinosaurs) and Josh is pretty jealous of it!

I wanted to share what we made at stamp club last night. 3 cards using stampin' write markers and it was also a little bit of a tool fest. We used the spritzer tool, crimper and brayer.

Apologies as always regarding my late MMM card. This time I had it ready early afternoon only was waiting on crystal effects to dry. Seeing as it is a new month, I have a new theme I am creating to. This month, it is punch art.... :D I love punch art!!!!
Here we go with today's card. (I am cursing the cold Melbourne weather because after 5 hours, my crystal effects is still not dry!!! Hence the side on photo.)
