Today is a public holiday in Victoria, Labour Day. It is an annual holiday celebrated all over the world (and at different times in Australia) that resulted from the labour union movement, to celebrate the economic and social achievements of workers. The celebration of Labour Day has its origins in the Eight-hour day movement, which advocated eight hours for work, eight hours for recreation, and eight hours for rest. Victoria and Tasmainia celebrate on the second Monday of March although the later calls it Eight Hours Day.
Above definition is from Wikipedia with some editing to shorten it!!!
Now I have blabbed on how it is a public holiday here (and my hubby still has to work) I can get on with showing you today's card. In the beginning of this years MMM, I was going with a 'theme' each month. Last months theme was using the 'I wish' simply scrappin' kit and I had thought this months theme was to be 'trees' but after I sneaked in a piece of Holidays Treasures designer series paper, I am not so sure.
